Seems like a good time to get negative posts about the past out of the way before our golden era really gets into gear next season and Chris Wilder takes his place as Blades royalty ;)

But without doubt, the most angry I've ever been about one particular match, the 2-0 against the pigs when robson was manager.

It's one thing that Wednesday were utterly shit and somehow managing to be lower in the league than robsons Blades team and that we were paying one of the highest wage bills on the league, but in this match I saw something I never thought I would ever see and haven't even seen since (and no I'm not talking about robsons interview after the match saying it was 'just another game').

What made my jaw drop in disbelief and my blood boil, was the fact that whilst we were 2-0 down, there were still 25 minutes to go and our players just completely gave up, not only against a thoroughly shit team (granted Billy sharp was still trying) but against Wednesday ffs.

The players just looked like they did almost every single week under robson, like they had no interest in trying their best and couldn't wait to go home to their mansions. To see players in Utd shirts playing like that at hillsborough was really shocking and kind of bizarre and surreal to see.

I've never seen such total and utter apathy and disrespect transfer itself from a manager to the pitch like that.

Even Micky Adams and David weir got some effort from the players, they just had no confidence and weren't really good enough.

Bryan Robson is head and shoulders the worst and outright most disgraceful manager I've seen.

Still, makes it even better that we've got Wilder now :)

Burnley play off final.

Only time ever I've gone to a game like that believing we would win, only to watch Blackwell show he learned absolutely the square root of fuck all from the two previous games against them that season.

Compounded by the realisation that that was our last chance to get back to the Prem after squandering the parachute money.

Definitely one of the playoff finals that Davalon and Captain have picked. Can't decide between them because they both made me fooking furious due to how poorly we performed. Each and every travelling Blade was let down in the worst way possible by our team on those days.

Wednesday away under Danny Wilson.

Wilson just looked on as they got on top of us from the start of the second half, did absolutely nothing to change the game and ultimately just surrendered. It was unforgivably poor and weak management and gave an inferior Wednesday team the impetus to go and finish above us.

Oldham at home the same season was pretty special too.

This season, Charlton away, Gillingham at home and Scunthorpe at home share the award.

Shrewsbury at home last season was close. Pathetic.

I remember getting stuffed 4-0 by Sunderland at the lane in the late 90's.

It was totally shit. If I'd had a season ticket, I'd have chucked it at the manager, and I think someone did.

I'd travelled from Edinburgh to Wigan for the 4-0 mauling in 2003/04 where Jagielka had probably his worst game at centre-half for us, and the journey coupled with the performance and result left me in a foul mood – the only point in Warnock's time as manager when I said we should get rid.

Plenty of other games made me angry, but that probably came after the shock/disappointment initially (Villa away and Wigan at home in 2007, Burnley in the playoff final etc), but certainly the Robson era joke of a performance at Hillsborough, the dire game at Palace on the final day under Robson, and the home game to Stevenage in 2012 would be on the anger-causing list.

The Wigan match and the play off finals were the most heartbreaking, but I was never that angry at the managers or the players as a whole (maybe a bit with warnock after the Wigan game).

But with this I'm talking about absolute rage because of the manager and players attitude.

I remember watching the robson 2-0 match against the pigs in a pub in Manchester with my eyes popping out and my hands on my head just saying to my gf 'they're not trying against sheffield Wednesday, I can't believe it, they're not trying'.

Made me realised how spoilt we'd been in the derbies with having Bassett and then warnock getting the players properly pumped up for the game.

7-0 home win over Ipswich.

As a young un being driven by dad en route. Said to me it's pissing down lets go to pictures instead !!

Got a star, nowt on so back home to watch Frank Brough on Grandstand.

Imagine my dismay as each goal got reported and I saw it on box following day.

I was there.

It was great.

Most angry for me was probably Scunthorpe at home, last game of last season.

I was so annoyed at our lack of fight and the number of mercenaries we had in the team - players like Woolford, Hammond, Baxter and Sammon.

The transformation since that game is nothing short of a miracle, so huge credit to Wilder and Knill.

Dead right - after passing Preston off the park in the previous round, the gormless twat decided to go long ball against the best two centre backs in the division.
Still, it only cost me £250, so not too bad, eh?

I was never comfortable we were going up that season. Just a gut feeling, nothing to do with Evans etc.

That game at the Sty made me more convinced. Despite them still needing a great run in, it felt like turning point.

We dominated the first half without scoring but you felt Wilson bottled it at half time. We came out with a more defensive approach second half and let the Pigs off the hook inviting them on. The result was inevitable.

Probably Crewe away last season.

They were bottom of the table and hadn't won at home in 22 attempts if I recall rightly.

The "performance" we put in that day summed up that team as a whole. Utter gutless inept wankers. They shuffled off at full-time to a chorus of "You're not fit to wear the shirt". That was putting it mildly.

Not to mention the spotty little virgin cunts in the stand who were giving the female lino a bunch of sexist verbal abuse. Before the match even kicked off.

Then the train from Stockport got delayed for 45 minutes.

An utterly shit day all round. I vowed not to do another away day for the rest of the season. Until I flounced and went to Millwall in March. Which we also lost.

I feel your pain fella. It was a truly amazing match ... It was the old 'hook on' cricket scoreboard and I thought we were going to run out of hooks for the scorers.

Bury away last season. I know it's been done to death but I'm normally relatively calm at matches but Adkins persona and the players hiding just rattle my cage like never before... it's fair to say the players and Adkins alike were left by the majority of blades knowing exactly how we felt

Gillingham away, first match of last season. 5:30am start, typically wank beer in the south of England, awful gutless performance and played off the park losing 4-0. Absolutely furious as the second half wore on, (little did I/we know it was a portent for the rest of the campaign), got home abot 11:30pm and poured myself a pint of gin and tonic, downed the lot!

Six years ago today, the utterly pathetic 3-0 capitulation at Watford. No talent, no discipline with two reds and no heart.

It was looking bad at that point anyway, but we may as well have been confirmed as relegated that day, it was a shameful non-performance from too many players truly unfit to wear the shirt.

Gillingham last season . Woeful.

Scunthorpe away in the relegation season; 2-0 and cruising after 10 minutes thanks to Evans and Cresswell and then the most inept 80 minutes I have ever seen from an SUFC team to end up losing 3-2. And - once the game ended - two of the buggers (Collins and Doyle) came over to applaud the 3000 United fans who were there to support them. They might have been crap for much of their time at BL but I never forgot that it was Collins and Doyle that had the guts to come over and take the abuse. The rest of them legged it down the tunnel as fast as they could, spineless fuckers.

Bury away last season and the afore-mentioned Robson game at Hillsborough also run it close.

I'd forgotten about that. That made be angry at the time because I'd thought both sendings off were harsh. It became clearer on the Henderson sending off that he shouldn't have gone for the challenge on a booking, so no arguments. Williamson's red was unfair though, and should have been a booking at most.

Till the reds we'd looked capable of getting a result too, which was why the indiscliple was doubly maddening.
