We're off to Florence in June for a week, any tips or pointers you can give me? Eg I've heard something about fast track passes for the major sites, is this a thing?

Yeah we booked them for places like the Uffizi through a company called 'Viatour' - very reasonable and meant you had an allocataed time to arrive and skip the queues.

Highly recommend a restaurant by Santa Croce called Baldovino - was recommended by an English girl we met who was married to a local fantastic food.

Viatour also do a daytrip called 'Tuscany in a day' where you go to Sienna, San Gimigniano and Pisa - expected it to be full of old gimmers but was actually brilliant. Included some winetasting as well.

Those crazy Expats and their crazy ways! i've heard of people getting married to cars and the likes....... but now food! To be fair though i've had some food I would marry before so fair play!
