Coutts - is he done?

Don't count your chickens and all that.......

:)

And a cloud of disappointment drifts in from the outer regions of Humberside at the very idea of you shirking from your words that carried such conviction, those words we all considered as holy and as trustworthy as a man could make. Bought me tissues, my young 'un will be mortified, so will my dog and cat, surely after so much drama we're not to be disappointed...are we?!??!!???

And you must draw something unique on your arsecheeks so we know you haven't just typed "arse on steps" in to Google.

Ignore Barney's idea about a drawing on your backside, it will require third party evidence to be there at the time, someone already a recognised poster - Pinchy perhaps? - then, and only then will we, the masses, have our satisfaction, our triumph, that we were promised!

Im sure the man himself and the rest of the players would enjoy a little bit of banter. Good little bit of "exposure" for the team.
12 yards....one football....pay a fee to have one shot at the bare arsed non believer. All proceeds to SCH. Could even stick a picture of Madines face on his arse just to add a little bit more edge to it.

What you reckon Alco?

Ssshhhhh...I meant we're not successful yet. Fingers crossed.

And there could well be a whiff, so stand back.

That shit would go viral.

Nope. Called it absolutely right.

Called it right in your world maybe. But suggesting that you were right then or now is comical. Man up.
Rarely right in reality, but can't seem to recognise when wrong or admit it....A poor quality to have in any person.

Technically he's already got the renewal as he's activated the years extension with appearances. So as a parasite he surely would sit back at that moment and relax?
Thank god you can stick to miskicking and chasing an underinflated ball around on the local 3g than have any notable influence on United.

*Ahem*

The only way would be if we had a side like in Wilson's first season with goalscorers all around him and quality goalscoring wingers/attacking full backs who would benefit from the triangles and angled balls he offers.

There is a lot in that. As a kind of link man type player who brings others into the game, Coutts is the type of player who can look like they are running the game in a good side, but can look lazy and ineffective in a poor side.

Hopefully with his first proper pre season for 3 years he may get some of that sharpness back.

He's a quality footballer and think he will have a part to play next season.

*ahem*

I will bare my arse on the town hall steps if Coutts is an integral part of any successful United team.

Please let me know when this is happening, so that I can make sure I am out of town that day.

People never learn that players will go through good spells, bad spells and average spells during their careers. All too often on here you see vitriolic attacks on players, actually very few deserve the treatment (Hammond?) and consider would you say the same thing to their face in public.

You could always see the talent in Coutts, too few people gave him the necessary leeway bearing in mind the horrible injury that he had and the time it takes to truly recover and get fit from that.

Credit to the management team that they have polished this gem for us and he is absolutely integral to a successful United team.

Lessons learned for most I would say Caveblade, save perhaps the most ardent, thick skinned dumb asses going. Those types are just hateful folk who do well at making themselves look a bit silly. Especially as they would often do well to remember they wouldn't dare say some of those things to the player or managers faces.

They may not be boxers or MMA fighters, but living with a 6ft, 16yr old footballer I can tell you those lads are very athletic, very strong and more than capable of kicking most average blokes arses. So as an adult pro??

Your defence of Golden Boy is heartening, but not surprising. He was earmarked to be the subject of this seasons circle-jerk way back in August

I on the other hand reserve admiration for those who apply themselves even in the bad times. Like Our Billy for instance who this forum isn't too keen on because it's not "cool" to appreciate goalscorers.

I really love that Coutts has turned it around, but I don't share your analysis of it.

His first two years were an utter disgrace. He failed miserably under two managers, with woeful effort.

I'm more than happy to accept I got it fully wrong regarding potential. I got it bang right regarding him stealing a wage for two years.

Wank wank wank.....utter bollocks.
Were you appreciating Sharp when he was being utilised poorly in his first two spells with the club? Guess you were, so apply that same thinking towards a few more players.

I rated Coutts as a player despite last season. Look it up if you don't believe me. But not on how he played consistently, but in his actual clear ability.
You can masturbate over old videos of Warnocks warriors and grafters if you like....falling over the ball, clattering into tackles and destroying matches by stopping the footballers. I prefer to have my team use our own footballers to outplay opponents.

And I certainly don't wander around at 43 trying to be cool.

You did get it bang on.

Don't yield to the I've Always Liked Him brigade and their attempts at schadenfraude. They were quieter than a mouse fart last season.

Didn't raise this to make it a debate on the merits or otherwise of Coutts. It's been done enough....more to poke a bit of fun in a lighthearted way.
But I will say this.
To be competitive at a pro level requires incredible fitness. My 16 yr old wannabe compared to a pro is miles apart...and he's a fit lad. I know because I have seen the test results.
Coutts role requires immense fitness, and pre season is where those foundations are laid for the season. He had 18 months here prior to this season, and only one pre season. This season.
Might not sound much, but it is.
Coutts effort, attitude and contribution this season cannot be called into question.

Never mind all that. Just get them trousers down. :)
