I'd had a few but I could have sworn the ref waved it away at first before the linesman gave it.

It looks a pen to me but if you're players are falling like Autumn leaves then it must sting a bit to have it done back to you

You must have had too much Carling
Dean gave the penalty instantly,he was well positioned and was spot on
sour grapes from Parky and Wheater
new he caught him cert pen

Awful awful dive. Not surprised Mike Dean awarded it!

I took great pleasure from the result yesterday but I took no pleasure whatsoever from the resulting penalty and goal, I don't like players cheating like that to win penalties, it looks ridiculous and we didn't need to. For me, it just took a little of the shine off the victory yesterday unfortunately!

Still don't think it was a pen, think Carruthers got out the way before Wheater could go through him

Parky is spouting garbage about this being the game changer - what utter tosh - just look at the stats for shots on target - we battered them. We could have easily been three up before that pen incident. Yeah, it was a tad soft, but you'll see them given every week in the Prem, just nice to be on the receiving end of a debated decision for a change.

Is your penthouse at the top of a pedestal ?

That is Karma for the bad luck for the penalty decisions that haven't gone our way that have cost us points this season.

if Wheater swings is foot across the attackers direction of travel like that without getting anywhere near the ball, he's almost demanding the referee give a penalty.
He should have gone for a block tackle - not a swinging boot.

There was a clear "intention to bring him down"

If that is good enough for a refereee when Steven Gerard is playing it's good enough for when Samir Carruthers is playing.
