On the back of Bladey Mcbladesface's post what would the value of your best/fave blades 11 be taking in to account the current market rate?

Rather than steal everyone's thunder I won't post mine.

1-11 with any formation.

Lee Baxter, Jordan Stewart, Davy Gysbrechts, Mark Blount, Nyron Nosworthy, Andy Barnsley, Paul Williams, Dean Hammond, Mark Beard, John Cofie, Connor Sammon. You can have em for fuck all and I'll throw in a David Weir, a shotgun and a glue making factory as well.

Looking back at the likes of walker and jags, think we could of easily got 10 mill for each of them in today's market.

That's easy! 4-4-2

1 Kelly
2 Borbokis
3 Unsworth
4 Holdsworth
5 Jagielka
6 McCall
7 Devlin
8 Brown
9 Agana
10 Deane
11 Whitehouse

Value - priceless! Couldn't find a better left back, Unsworth is probably the best in my time - in m view.

Ok, I'll go..

Kelly
Borborkis McGrath Jagielka Nilsen

Devlin Brown McCall Whitehouse

Deane Beattie

Bench: Kenny, Dellas, Ndlovu, Tonge, Blake, Geary, Fjortoft
This is based on players I've seen play and in a blades shirt. Players that would make it based on performances for other clubs would be the likes of Walker, Britton, Kitson etc.

Booker4 you forgot - 4 Booker

He did say best not favourite mate but I did seriously think about Bob in there! If we're going favourite it'd be:

1 Kelly
2 Borbokis
3 Barnes
4 Holdsworth
5 Gayle
6 Patterson
7 Devlin
8 Booker
9 Marcelo
10 Deane
11 Whitehouse

Not many would chose Marcelo but I just loved his passion and he was quality in the air! I was gutted when he left for the Blues!

Yes I did say favourites:

Mine would be:

Kelly - £6 mil
Bradshaw - £500K
Jags - £10mil
McGrath - 0
Nillsen - £4mil
Carr - £900,000
Whitehouse - £10mil
McCall - 0
Brown - £4 mil
Fjortoft - £3.5 mil
Katchuro - £750k

Total £39.65 mil

Most valuable would be (in my opinion)

Kelly- £15million
Walker- £15million (when he left us- more like £30million now)
Jagielka- £15million
Holdsworth- £4million
Nilsen- £3million
Devlin- £6million
Brown- £8million
Hodges- £4million
Whitehouse- £10million
Deane- £30million
Bent- £7million

I've tried to based the values on the types of fees players of a similar level today tend to go for.

And about £150M for Ian Rush

First division attacking midfielder, capped for England. Got to be 20+ surely

I didn't see him in the flesh but on reputation, honours, what I have seen of him in videos etc. I'd suggest around £30mil similar to Deano (most rate TC higher but strikers like Deane carry a premium).

Haha, I was going on their time playing for us during which I think Rush was about 36. Otherwise McGrath, Speed, Saunders, Cowans etc. would have probably made it in.

Me too otherwise McGrath, McCall would not be worth £0

With current prices the mind boggles. Kyle Walker a right-back reputed to be worth £60m, where would that put Badger in valuation when he was about 23? What did Ozil cost Arsenal £35m? No disrespect, a fine player but TC was better all round. Ribery is valued at about £35m, good player but with his shooting and crossing ability what price Woodward? The prices paid for Andy Carroll, that £35m for Deano looks a bit of a steal.

Nilsen £3m!? He was quality when he first came in but then in my view just faded and was nothing special. I wouldn't say he was ever worth £3m now or ever but each to his own mate! Jan Aage was quality though! Not many would go for Carr but I loved him too. For me, Dev just pips him to the right wing spot.

Chris Guthrie. I'd sell him for £85m so I could keep the team of 1989/90 together

I was pricing him in today's market; an international, Prem left back easily £3mil... there's a lot worse going for a lot more currently.

Devlin was a consideration but counted him out becauw of how he ended his United career.
