Camera man seemed to keep focusing on it earlier, probably because it was only Black Kids* playing

*this is the name of a band not a generalisation:p

early on in the day you mean?

Why in hell did they let gay-z headline?

Who really cares who was headlining? Would you really want to spend the weekend with a bunch of hippies in a field full of mud and strangers' piss?

If you want to stand it my back garden for the weekend and listen to Gangsta rap while I chuck mud and bottles of piss at you it will cost you £200. Camping is extra.

And we don't do vegetarian food either.
Or give any of the cash to Greenpeace. Fuck 'em.

Nah i'll pass thanks.
I don't do vege food either :D

His 'cover' of Wonderwall proved that rappers don't have to be able to sing in tune:(

did he really cover wonderwall?

if he did, was obvious he was gonna seeing as Noel Gallagher came out and said that he shouldn't have been headlining. Which he was right about. If they'd have booked Linkin Park at same time and done some Collision Course - that would have been better.

But what does he care? I mean come on, he's got 99 problems and Noel Gallagher ain't one

a rock festival so they book a wannabe gangster.

If being a "Wannabe" gangster brings you all the wealth and lifestyle that he has, where do i sign up.

I saw the set, thought it was fantastic. Noel is a fantastic musician, without a doubt, he is also amazingly intelligent. However his small minded attitude shows that he is out of touch with the industry today.

I wasnt so sure that having Jay-z headlilning was a good idea, however he seemed to entertain the people that were there

id rather be a rocker like sir dave of grohl than a wannabe gangster!

With the amount of drugs/alcohol done at Glastonbury, Jeremy Beadles funeral would entertain the masses that were there.

Without a doubt i would also prefer to be a guitar thrashing rock legend, but considering he started with nothing and is now the biggest selling rap/hip-hop artist ever, i think he's done ok for himself.

It all comes down to personal choice, you either like the music or you dont.

I'm pretty damn sure that we could all argue for our own taste in music and against each others all week, but it still wouldnt make any difference to our own tastes.

fair play to him, but i dont like him or his music and he shouldn't be at a rock festival really.

a hip/hop whatever style music he is playing a rock festival, or slamming beyonce. where did he slip up? :D

This is exactly where you are getting it wrong.

Glastonbury is a FESTIVAL not a ROCK FESTIVAL but a MUSIC FESTIVAL.

If you've never been then i can understand where you might get that impression, the bbc are the worst of the lot when it comes to giving the wrong impression, there coverage is mainly featured around the pyramid stage, where the majority of the main acts perform, most of which are usually Indie/Alternative/Rock performances.

When you take into account the other 22 stages/performance areas and see the acts on those stages then there is no way that you could call glastonbury a ROCK FESTIVAL. I would put up the whole list of performances, but there are too many.

Anyone up for a Glastonbury 2009 as a forum outing :D :D :D

I was watching BBC4's coverage of it for a while and they had some crazy but very good Jazz & Reggae bands on on the multiscreen options.

now if johnny cash was to play too that would be a gig to go too!
