That was just bizarre!

Some good news from clubs who couldn't afford to rest players, Bolton's Jay Spearing picked up his tenth booking of the season tonight, misses the games against Bradford and against us.

Big loss for them that.
this is why he's invested in January so that players can be protected. Even the injured players are only out for 1 game which implies that in a weaker squad they would be at least on the bench.

If Freeman and Sharp were looking jaded then another 90 minutes on a crap pitch is not what they needed.

We could also have easily lost, and lost Moore too. Long for rthe next 3 games? :O

Are you suggesting that Moore should have been rested as well to avoid him being injured?

Or are you suggesting that Moore's injury was directly related to the resting of Sharp, Carruthers, Duffy or Freeman.

Don't worry. That guttersnipe is increasingly outstaying his welcome, and is already viewed as a joke by the majority of right-minded folk.
He soon scuttles away when inevitably proven wrong like the snivelling little crybully coward that he is.
I'm never sure whether you're serious with your posts and general name calling antics, I certainly know Pinchy is generally on the wind up with his line of thought. More to be smiled at ruefully than engaging in a battle of insults.
However, when you are serious (I think), I find some of your stuff insightful and interesting, much better than the quoted stuff above.

Well that worked out well. 2 points from 2 games. Well done wilder.

So you think we've just had two bad results? I don't. And whilst I accept a win would be better, a draw against Bolton would not be a bad result either.

The draw with Gillingham was a poor result, but drawing away at Bristol Rovers and then at home to Scunthorpe are not bad results.

As said before, who is to say that today's side (bar Hanson who was injured) would have won at Bristol Rovers? After all we lost badly to Fleetwood and Walsall.

You have a word with your eyes pal. We didn't play our strongest (imo) 11 i said so why is it moaning? My opinion is as valid as anyone else's.
So right, your opinion is valid but you have a word with your eyes....pal. Where did I say you were Moaning? I just don't agree with your opinion and I asked for clarification of your 'valid opinion' but got none...same owd, same owd.

Oh come on, we played a weakened side with eyes on 3 points (6 pointer) against scunny, it back fired. 2 points from a possible 6 isn't good enough, and I'd stake my savings on Wilder holding the same opinion.
If we draw or lose against Bolton returning 3 points (or less) from 9 that's nowhere near the 2 points a game many have stated should be the aim.

Bit of a cop out answer that imo.
Do you think Wilder is happy with 2 points from 2 games?
He dropped a bollock against brizzle.

Currently we're on 1.9 points per game btw, need a win v Bolton or that drops further.

A point from a tricky away game agaisnt one of the best sides we've seen at BDTBL this season is 'dropping a bollock'?

Similarly a point against our title rivals in one position immediately below us, is not the end of the world. More so when the third placed club that could benefit, only draw themselves.

Reading this thread, the alien on the Clapham omnibus might think that the world has fallen in at S2. I don't and I'm quite happy with both points.

Is a point v Bolton meaning 3 points from 9 acceptable? Or to put it another way are we still on track if we get a ything less than 3 points?

Why have you given up on the chance of 3 points on Saturday? Is it down to the team selection at Rovers, or Scunny, or the team selection that hasn't even been made yet?
One thing you have got spot on, this thread has been bizarre from the word go.

I haven't given up, just stating a possible scenario.

Nowt wrong with wanting 3 points.
So.e said after brizzle we move on and take 3 points from scunny, just hope they aren't saying the same after Bolton.

I suppose it rather depends on how those in 2nd and 3rd places do in the same 3 game period - doesn't it?

You make good points knowsnowt, the brizzie episode and draws are not great for a team with ambitions of finishing in the top two but your flogging a dead horse on here mate, too many still think draws are a good thing.

The two that get the automatics will probably be those that push on and convert the most draws into wins, we missed that opportunity in the last two matches and I'm sure the bookies will be thinking it might be more of the same against Bolton. Lets hope Billy gets a couple as noboby else seems to be capable of hitting the target in the last few games.

You should have seen the response I got when we were relegated a d I said it'd take us 5 years to get out of this league. How some laughed!
