Singing and standing should be banned from football stadiums. I go to watch football, not have my view obscured by a man shouting about chip buttys.

Inconsiderate and rude.

I'm not singing until Wilder ceases to obstruct my view of the Bramall Lane end goal at exciting moments. Fairs fair although I might shout yes when we score and twirl my half and half scarf around my head while all the real fans, including those turning up for the first time this season, sing that shit song about Billy.

On a serious note, how about starting the GCB song BEFORE Gary Sinclair plays the first notes of Annie's Song for a change. Presumably everyone hasn't dried and need a prompt and it may sound a bit more passionate?

I'd scrap that contrived bullshit altogether.
We seem to manage without it at away matches.

Not sure it'd be wise to lose our GCB cue. When we have to do it all by ourselves half our support usually starts singing it 10 seconds after the other. Like with most other chants.

This happened at Bristol Rovers on Tuesday. Two groups stood 10 feet apart and still couldn't couldn't sing the same song in time.

Plus without the cue it's too fast.

The cue being from a country and western song with different lyrics.
I know our song is based on it, but do we really need to be spoon fed the start of a song we sing at least twice every home match?

But it's the only time when it gets sung properly. It's slower and in harmony at the start of the match and sounds better for it. That's why Liverpool and Celtic do the same thing with YNWA.

I always sing the GCB song loud and with gusto but around me there is usually just a few people just mouthing the words like a drunken dummy
We need the full voice of everyone on saturday

I did notice this, though not being able to get to many games thesedays it was a joy to hear it live, albeit it in two different timings and keys!

We don't though, do we? By the time everyone joins in, the song has nearly finished. It sounds shit.

I don't really like them playing the first few bars but it works because it sounds far better when everyone starts singing it at the same time, from the very start of the song.
