'Space caddette' was a reason why so many people lost faith in Blades Revival, seeing the money spunked before their eyes.

He had a good scoring record at Southend [?] before he joined us, but he only got a handful of goals for us, if memory serves.
'a handful' is being generous.

Very generous!
Did well against Ipswich at home, felt my contributions were well spent that day!, but that was it as far as I recall.

I don't normally save ticket stubs but came across these random ones when clearing out. Brings back a few (mainly crap) memories

You look at all those stubs and there's some degree of artwork involved. Except one. It looks like it's been designed by a computer illiterate 5 year old and knocked out on the cheapest dot printer they could find. Wankers.

My old Dad, (a Blade obvs) used to take absolutely shitloads of photos in & around Sheffield back in the day - I think this must have been early-mid 70's but if anyone can be more specific I will bow to their superior knowledge.....

Stewart Evans in middle of back row. Didnt play a 1st team game for us but Bassett of Wimbledon saw something in him and signed him. Was a regular in the Dons' climb from the 4th division to the 1st. Scored for Wimbledon with a diving header when they beat us 2-1 at the Lane in May 1984

Maybe he got bombed out of The Lane because of personal hygiene problems.....judging by the room MacPhail & Ryan (?) are giving him.

Monks DIY....Queens Rd at the Shoreham St junction.

Monks DIY on Queens Road. Next door there was a company called Hodkin & Jones. As a kid I used to wonder if there was a link with David Munks, Mick Jones and Alan Hodgkinson.

Different spellings but everything in those days ( and probably still is) was Blades related.

If it makes you believe your thoughts were not totally random, I used to work (in the loosest sense of the word) there in the summers; Hodgy always was and always will be my all-time favourite footballer, though I only pinched his name to come on the Forum 60 years later. Apologies to all who bought damaged goods there - I never got the hang of loading Lorries properly. Still have trouble loading a dishwasher.
