Bizarre. Only time i heard their fans was just before end. Awful atmosphere!

Not a great game. Few chances. They're v easily pleased if that's a quality game in their eyes!!

Good point and that's it.

A gracious and welcoming bunch. Could easily have been bitter about our physical approach and the referee who probably favoured us more with his decisions. I wish them all the best.

And a big thank you to one of the locals who ran down Gloucester Rd to hand me the £20 I dropped like a dozy twat. Restored my faith in humanity did that.

Thanks Roy. That was quick. Some great grown up comments on there. Think if I lived in Bristol I'd choose Rovers.

After reading things such as "dropped points" and "fuck up from Wilder tonight" on various Blades facebook groups, it was nice to read some more measured comments from their fans

Nice bunch and great comments. Would love them to make the playoffs and beat Bolton or even Millwall in the final, provided we finish top 2 of course!
Even better if Bristol City got relegated. It's not good for a city when one team does significantly better then the other for such a long time. Always felt a bit sorry for Rovers and Notts County in that respect.

Seemed a decent bunch of comments. Would like to see them push for the playoffs next season - not this one as I have an us vs them handicap bet which I intend on winning

We are blessed with more than our share of armchair managers. Sadly, their armchairs are the most intelligent things in the house.

"So good to have proper football at the Mem again.”

It's heartwarming to see that other clubs' fans both appreciate our team and know what they are talking about.

Cheers, Rovers fans.

Great comments. They're a really friendly set of supporters. As soon as we walked into the pub and opened our mouths, we had one guy stood at the bar and the barman chatting to us. Asked how our journey was, chatted about the football etc. Great bunch. I wish them all the best.

Their fans clapped our players off. Great gesture! Rovers were always my favourite Bristol side.

Were they now? Since when and why?

I don't have a favourite Bristol side myself. Can't say the thought has ever crossed my mind. Obviously I'm a bit odd.

Whilst you're at it, tell us your favourite Glasgow side, and Edinburgh side, and Manchester side and London side and seaside?

Why the hostility and smart arse comments on this? These things do happen, you know.

My ex used to work with a Bristol Rovers fan. She used to travel all over watching them and held a season ticket despite living and working in London. Given how shit they have always been, I respected that - not like she was going to watch Champions League football. I never knew anyone who supported Bristol City. So I always mentally had a bias towards Rovers over City. It's really not that unusual to "prefer" one side over another based on random stuff like that.

My favourite Edinburgh side is Hibs. I liked that young side that overachieved at a time I was living in Scotland (early 2000s). I have no preference for any of the other ones you named, but my favourite Dundee side is United.

You most certainly are :)

I have always liked Rovers and used to play Sunday League football in Somerset with Des Bulpin, the Rovers' youth coach in the late 80s, very early 90s. The club then operated out of two portakabins at the Bourneville ground in Keynsham and played matches at Twerton Park in Bath.
