When my Dad started taking me to the matches he only took me to the reserve team games. It seemed like ages, but it probably wasn't before I went to see a first team game.

For those Central league matches we used to always park on this road next to the church wall. Happy memories.

I wonder if they were a pig family as strange they don't actually mention SUFC by name. Still they had an impressive '3 lines' and with the Cortina, Corsair, Escort & Zephyr MkII (think Z cars) it was all still to come....

Woody, you may well be right but I only remember them as being above the old Co-op on Ecclesall Road - I think the photo is 1965 or later as the MG 1100 appears to have a "C" plate

It is mate, I remember when he was touted as the next big thing to come out of the club, real high hopes for him but the step up fromn youth to 1st team never quite worked out for him.

Yes, indeed it is!

I used to take my daughters in there when they were young.
My wife spent her childhood in there on school holidays when it was safe for young kids to be out and she used to walk there from just off Carterknowle Road.
In the days when it was safe.
Now a days most kids are driven to school.
