no your miles out with numbers there peles 76ish now I believe and Bill Foulkes would be 137
he died 100 years ago

But you said Pele played for the Cosmos at 60ish. He left them - retired in fact - in 1977.

WHF would be older than 137 seeing as he was born in 1874.

:)

whats my take on peles age , not on this thread , got to do with you thinking they were both about the same age

I may be 10 out with fatty foulkes , but your about century out, matching these 2 up as of similar age

which makes you 10 times ish more incorrect than me

Genuine LOL moment. You really have no idea.

Who said you were ten years out?

1874/1940, a hundred years?

ah so there it is
the lets say hes pissed move

you know all the top arguments
did you get that one at the debating society at uni

I got thrown out of the Society due to a tragic case of miscommunication when they said there was going to be a mass debate. At least they had the decency to let me fasten my fly back up.

Given he was accused of being a money-grabbing bastard when he left for QPR, his decision to not take money he was contractually entitled to is a nice tough. Most injured players wouldn't bother.

It's a shame Hammond or Wallace didn't feel the same way the money grabbing leeches the pair or them.

Lighthearted comment that I thought I'd get in before someone else did.

In seriousness, Long may yet become a good keeper in time but we need a good one now. I'd like to see us sign a good one in the JTW, keep Howard as back up til the end of the season and send Long out on loan.
Omg! You really believe that? "Long may yet become a good keeper in time'?

No he won't. How much more proof do you need?

Good keepers are good from a young age. Look back to some of the good keepers we've seen in the team in their teens. Conroy, McAllister, Tomlinson. They were all streets ahead of Long.

The guy is a total liability. He will never make the grade and that's why no club has come in for him.

In all seriousness he should pursue a different career. I hope we never see him in goal for us again.

That comment was made in November 2015. In all serious, if you actually think he pursue a different career, I'm not wasting my time responding further.

Well, he's not going to have a particularly lucrative one as a goalkeeper! Circus, perhaps?

Oh, and Cerebus, Tomlinson was every bit as bad as Calamity George.

I think he'll become established as a lower league keeper who may, at his peak, command £3-4,000 a week. It won't make him rich but it's a comfortable living.

If you look at our recent keepers, both Howard and Moore had slow starts to their first team careers but eventually have become decent L1 players.

Despite his fantastic start for us, saving a penalty, Tommo wasn't good enough for Division 2, I agree.

as someone mentioned above have i inadvertently started a record between post & argument as blade too long posted fatty foulke november 2015 & the argument with Sean Thornton is 16months later in feb 2017

Conroy was a poor keeper and didnt play a league match for us as a teenager
