Millmoor
Don Valley
Saltergate

Plus Belle Vue, Plainmoor, Volkspark Stadion and Mercedes Benz Arena....for games not involving the Blades (obvs)

Been to 112 grounds to watch the Blades now after 55 years of watching . Its 106 teams but 6 have changed grounds which I have been to .

Good morning

154 English grounds in total with 145 being to see the Blades (the balance was with friends who supported either Peterborough or Dull City)
Started going to the Lane in 71 on a dedicated coach from the Roland Arms in Aston when I was 10.

As well as my undying love for TRAWW, the main nucleus was getting a company car in the mid-eighties (just before the glorious Bassett/French era) with unlimited free petrol - remember the lads used to get me my ticket/ale for driving them to places like Bournemouth/Hartlepool etc mid-week....fab fuckin times all round....!

Have just got the new Barnet and Cheats FC ones to do in the top 4 leagues.

If i had my time again i wouldn't change a thing ....!
About 10 with the blades.
Thats just mental lol.I met a guy at gillingham who had only missed a handful of games in 35 years or so.I,ve only seen the blades since my mum moved up to dronfield from notts, but been a fair bit home and away.Done all 92,10 twice, wimbledon 3 times, numerous non league and had a ball.Had a great time, wasted thousands in total if u can say its wasted, but im still going 2 games. Not a proper blade at all,but game against spurs at home when it went 2 1 was best atmosphere ever 4 me.B there 2 morrow and at posh next week.Ive been watching footy everywhere in england 4 33years as an adult n its showing no signs yet of stopping.Sorry 4 the essay.UTB

I know everyone does the 92 different but have United played at Newport, Accrington or Barnet? They haven't played at Brighton's new place so no blade can have done that - not watching United anyway.
saw us get hammered 4-0 at newport, remember singing the muppets song at their fans as they all looked like stadler and waldorf
just reminded me of that

never met accrington or barnet in the league

51. Additionally I have been to many grounds on numerous occasions watching matches not involving the Blades, e.g. Huddersfield about 20 times, Ipswich about 10 times, Oldham about 15 times etc. When I was younger used to go all over watching football it was easy back in the day

I've given up counting!
I've visited 63 of the current 92 clubs but that total must be nearer 85-90 if you include all the former now defunct grounds. Add to those grounds/teams that are now non league but were league at the time (Wrexham, Stockport, Halifax, Lincoln, York, Darlington, Tranmere etc....)
Then the non league sides (Altrincham, Ilkeston, Worksop etc....)
Visiting a new ground makes an away day that bit better for me. The likes of Burton, Fleetwood and for me Charlton in the last couple of years

I had to have a sit down with the old man a few seasons ago for a count up (he took me week in week out when i was young so i couldn't possibly remember some of them) if we're including old grounds Milmoor, Maine Rd, Elm Park, Roker Park and so on and so on, i'm on around 96! During my late teens if the Blades weren't playing i would go with a few Rovers lads i knocked about with when they were a conference team, Southport, Hereford and a few others were visited on the piss! Some great memories watching United with the old man and his minibus full of mates!

Done 132 grounds with t' Blades, this includes Piacenza, ADO Den Haag, Linfield, Raith, East Fife, Greenock Morton and Cowdenbeath, plus quite a few duplicate teams. Done Bristol Rovers at 3 different grounds, Memorial, Bath City's and the Hand Stadium home of Clevedon Town. All in, done 174 grounds, as well as United that's from watching Rangers, England, Northern Ireland and non-league.

25 if I can include grounds that no longer exist and those now in non league ?

Up to the mid 90's I'd been to 88 of the 92 that were in the League at that time

Clubs like Halifax, Darlington, Lincoln, York, Newport, Grimsby slipped out of the league and were replaced by other clubs like Yeovil, Scarborough, Cheltenham, Barnet, Burton etc

I haven't been to these stadiums

I've also been to Coventry, Derby, Sunderland, Man City, Leicester, Arsenal, Southampton, Wigan and probably a couple more without paying a visit to their new stadiums

I tell a lie
I have been to Leicesters new stadium

Night match Leicester v Burnley the year we got promoted to the Premier League

Burnley won 1-0 with a goal from Ade
Akinbiyi

The Leicester fans weren't pleased that Akinbiyi scored as he couldn't hit a cows arse with a banjo when he played for Leicester

I forgot about Edgeley Park, went to that evening game when we lost in the old forth division. Plainmoor as well but not to see the Blades, we had a holiday in Paignton in the late 70's and my old man took me probably thinking they'd be a team we'd only ever play in the cup. A few years later we were in the same division. I think Torquay played Scunthorpe that day?

Interesting post. I did nt realise I d been to so many. 50 in total.

Think I'v e done about 35-40. Some have gone since.

Millmoor, The Dell, Highbury, Maine Road etc.

120+ watching blades

Biggest Blade pissing competition now over.

We have a winner and if he is unable to claim his prize, we have a very worthy stand in.

The rest of us part timers can now all slope off back under our stones.

Where I've put a multiplier doesn't mean more than once it means different stadium.

71 of current 92. More if you include old stadiums and conference + conference north.

I've always preferred smaller, older grounds. So ones like Brentford, Stockport and Crewe do it for me.

I'm obviously biased but Bramall Lane (under the lights) is a really top stadium. Mix of old and new, different architecture on all sides and close to the city centre make it a top stadium for me.
