If the team that started last Saturday starts and everybody is available who is on the bench? If nobody leaves in the transfer window we have off the top of my head the following to fill six outfield positions, scougs,Reed, clarke, mcnuts,Carruthers, Wright,Wilson,Lafferty, rileyhanson and oshea.thats a full team! I accept the team that started Saturday will not be the starting eleven but from the full list who will be on the bench? I presume Hanson,Carruthers, orileyand oshea will all feature as they have just arrived and will be in wilders immediate plans, so thats 4, which are the other 2? and who is going to be disappointed?

I'd imagine Lafferty and Wright will get back into the starting XI with Done and Bash taking other places on the bench. Can't see Reed getting anywhere near the squad and don't see any real need for McNulty after he didn't take his chance on Saturday. Scoogs will be right down the pecking order with Carruthers and O'Shea moving ahead of him too.

Hussey is just the forgotten man now.

At the moment it will look like this is everybody's available.

Subs: Ramsdale, Wright, Riley, Carruthers, O'Shea, Hanson, Clarke/Done

Long, Wilson, Hussey, Reed, Scougall, Brooks, McNulty, Clarke/Done all missing out and then there's Chapman when he's back.

It's tempting to go without a keeper on the bench.

The squad's a bit too big for my liking.

Lafferty and Wright in the starting 11 for Done and Basham,i want that too.

If i can only have one change it would Lafferty in for Done.

I'd agree with this.

As much as I think Wilder has done a fantastic job and knows what he's doing, I do have a slight worry that our squad is too big. Those we have brought in would (on face value) not appear to be better than what we've got - but time will tell with this.

I didn't really think we needed to sign many players this transfer window because all though we've had a couple of iffy results, I still think we are the best team in the division.

I suppose it's all about covering ourselves for a dramatic loss of form/injuries.

I think the U23S will or should become a reserve team, albeit still called the U23s.

It would keep all fringe players fit and bring through the likes of Semple, Graham, Slater, Hallam. At present i can see Reed, Brookes, Hussey, McNulty, Scougall, Wilson, Long playing much more in this team waiting for their chance of first team football. That is how it should be and that is what happens at most other clubs. If a player needs game time after injury then he can come in also.
They should also be playing the exact same formation as the first team, for easy transition into the first team when required.

Is that. your preferred team or what you think Wilder will go with?
