Not good reading, though at least the club seems aware of the problems and appreciates the strength of the fan-base. This season's situation will be no better, I guess. The photograph was disturbing - has the player pictured just finished watering the grass?

I thought Murphy's sale paid for the Desso. Or does that mean we don't get the proceeds from his sale until Brighton win the Prem, he makes 500 appearances for them and Scotland win the World Cup with him scoring a hat trick in the final. The other worrying aspect is that we are £1m down already this season due to the non-cup run. And does the £700k refer to Adkin's payoff from last season or Clough's from the one before, in which case there is another one yet to come.

Every silver lining always has a cloud where United are concerned.

Fuck me £6.5M on first team wages up from £5.5M.

Finished 11th - we should be ashamed with that. Adkins has a lot to answer for. I suspect some of the more useless contributed disproportionately to that increase. Hammond and Sammon, wtf were we thinking?

Thank god Wilder has turned up he may yet save this club.

Those results are truly embarrassing considering the money spent and points achieved.

Id like to think the 700K costs associated with management changes are for both Adkins and Clough as the costs were for the financial year to 30/06/2016 . I fucking well hope so anyway

I seem to recall the cup run leading to the semi at Wembley v Hull was where the monies came from that were allocated for the Desso.

Another couple of seasons of Adkins or Clough and the club could have been staring down the barrel financially, if those figures are anything to go by. Wilder might well have saved us literally as well as in footballing term. Praise also to McCabe for making the changes.

We also appear to have paid Brannigan off. Which should put paid to some of the more scurrilous rumours.

That's no surprise though. Adkins was a bigger fuck up than Clough.

Football club in 'burning a ridiculous amount of money, despite fans thinking we spend nothing' shocker.

Anyone mentioned the rent or where the kyle money has gone yet? :)

In all seriousness though, I heard a news report that Villa have the 20th highest wage bill in European football earlier... That's value for money.

Here we go again.

Where's the Adams money? :)

That's next year's Barney ... this one has the Murphy sale, along with some Nick Blackman payments..£1.9 million profit on 'disposal of player registrations' for the year.

Admin up £700k coz of all them buggers in the South Stand ;)

Read that too, £180 million was the amount of debt AV have to service, wonder how they intend deal with that? Maybe call the Co-op would be their bank of choice...
