home match v Millwall now 1pm at request of SYP

I think it was mentioned on this forum that it had been selected as the Millwall "Flag Day", this probably confirms that it has/was..

Do you they have the whole 'firm' thing going on? Not heard anything of all that shit for a while...

Spoons open at 9.00,problem solved, back in pub for 15.00,results.

Not puttin me out.

Even when I go to their place we arrive at 8.30 so it's not really gunna put the "wall" fan out doin the same is it?.

This is what makes it so stupid. Anyone determined to throw as much lager down their throat as they can manage will do so anyway, either by going to an early serving pub, or buying a load from an offy.

Games being moved for stupid reasons (other than to be shown on TV) seems to happen in South Yorks more than anywhere else. Twats will be twats regardless.

There is actually a fairly good argument for letting people watch the game with a pint, like they do at other sports, in that over time it might help stop people having a binge beforehand.

No doubt the Durham constabulary will be out in force too ................................ all that lovely overtime because the plonkers at SYP can't cope.

And don't forget that we won't be allowed to walk down the side of our own ground to get into the city centre

Don't forget the steel-wall..

Don't forget the steel-wall..

The infamous steel wall that stops just where everyone is forced to come together at the roundabout/underpasses and St Mary's church...... funnily enough it's also at the same point that the old bill do not place the majority of their numbers.

You are one of those who would be complaining regardless...give them a break...bore on!

Isn't it time sanctions were taken out by the FA against Milwall?

The only club I can think of who suffered any serious sanctions, such as having half their mainstand closed for 2 seasons was us, a ludicrous over reaction to two fans sneaking in a couple of Roman candle like fireworks.

Meanwhile others merrily go along causing havoc around the country season in season out or invading the pitch and attacking female opposition fans and get off scot free.

See your main point but it wasn't half the stand and they were distress flares rather than Fairy Gardens HG.

Kick off time not withstanding it'll be the usual - and pretty much ineffectual - steel wall again when they'll mainly kick off in the ground.

Contrast this to Bradford this season when WYP were happy to let Blades drink in the street from the offy as long as you weren't roaming around with it and drink your pint just outside the confines of the pub, and having a bit of banter ( but still dealing swiftly and forcefully with a handful - not kids either - who just had to abuse it)

Are we really obliged to give them any tickets for league games? Surely Blades fans could make up the missing numbers, if we banned this shitty little clubs moronic fans.
I really fancy taking up the offer of being able to purchase tickets in BL lower.
Even if this "experiment" is a roaring success, we'll still have to find somwhere else to sit, because these idiots are in town.

My main gripe is if it's sunny I will be squinting like Andy Woodward for the first 10 minutes until it goes behind the lane stand. Good job were a second half team.

I did laugh but.......

Millwall announced it would be their flag day ages ago yet they'll still be aloud tickets to the game? Daft!

I can assure everyone that this game and day is going to be gruesome. We have more than our fair share of nutters who won't back down, especially on their home patch and they will turn out in force. Good luck SYP at coping with this, it could be disastrous and Birmingham all over again but worse.

and if any Millwall fan thinks he can waltz into Sheffield carrying an air -conditioning unit, get ready pal ;)
It won't be a punch they'll get in the face, no, it will be harder than that, it will be mustard.

'Flag Day' being the neanderthals top secret code for 'Smash the lot up and hurt people day'.

Even SYP managed to decipher that one.
