Got a kick on the knee, will be scanned on Monday, but from all accounts he was able to limp off

Although he was only on the pitch a few tens of minutes today I was impressed, he looked keen, had good positional sense, good touches and short passes on the ball and generally looked as good as the rest of our midfield and seemed to fit in well. Give the guy a chance. Looked like a potentially good signing that will eventually improve the squad from what I saw.

Wilder's described it as a 'whack' on his knee.

A whack directly to the knee suggests the dreaded ACL injury is unlikely. The fact he walked off suggests the same.

Generally I'd much rather be hearing about an impact injury than a non impact/twisting sort of thing.
It will be a scan to check on any bone zdamage lots of soft tissue round the knee so bruising will be severe and painful best to check it out.

When he signed, I said it was a bad signing because he was injury prone.

Then I got shouted down, for not knowing my facts, and then today he goes and gets injured.

As he apparently cost a lot of money, I think this is bad business, but it hasn't seemed to affect our form, so I'm all happy.

UTB!!!

Have a great day
bell end

He went off because Wilder is smart and there was no point risking him being 4-1 up.

He looked great for the ten minutes he came on for and was involved in our third. Can do that every week for me.

Good risk management from Wilder / Knill . Fella has a persona which ouzzes class to me . Positional and tactical sense . He is not injury prone . We have professional medical school now under the duristiction of Wilder .

We have a asset and a great player . As you say a smart move . Let's not nock him , he is one of us .

He walked off the pitch as a precaution . Time to worry is if he went off on a stretcher strapped up like a Egyptian Mummy

Unbelievable .

UTB .

You said "apparently" always injured.

Someone pointed out that he had played a lot of games over the past few seasons. Ive just checked and hes played 43 games last season and 39 the year before.

This season he has played 23 league games for MK Dons and 4 cup.

I think the injury is nothing more than a coincidence and I dare say he'll be playing v Gillingham if not Walsall on Saturday

I wouldn't be so confident - you could tell his was in distress straight after the tackle and I thought CW looked concerned when he spoke about him.

Yes, it is generally positive that he tried to run it off but that doesn't mean it's not a serious injury - remember when Brayford played on until half-time v Swindon?

Here's hoping from a positive result from his scan. The small consolation if it's not is the O'Shea link, who would also be able to cover/rival Duffy for the 10 position.

I didn't like the look it if I'm honest he was stood on touchline quite a while before he could go off no more attempts to enter into the fray,I will be relieved if it's found to be not serious, dunno if it's the blade coming out in me waiting for the kick in the teeth but I'm not confident
Fitted in seamlessly when he came on replacing Duffy,I was worried when Duffy went off I quoted the charlton game where we ran the show till he went off and it let them back in the game,no such worries yesterday,Samir will be a good signing

While Carruthers was being treated yesterday, some wag behind me shouted "hope we've kept the receipt" which raised a few laughs around us.

Seriously though, this kid looked well up for it during the time he was on the pitch and I really hope that the scan shows nothing too serious.

Great performance yesterday, this team is oozing confidence and spirit and I really believe now that promotion is ours to throw away.

Maybe this is our annual "kick in the teeth"? We can't seem to shake them off. Please Gods of Football, give it a rest. This lot saying "promotion is ours" are only having a laugh.

Did you see how he injured his knee Bully?

If it was a straight whack on it as Wilder mentioned it might not be too bad. I'd probably be more concerned if it was something innocuous like him falling awkward or stressing it.

Anybody else see what happened?
