so at this moment in time our capacity is larger than Phuket Palace as Chansiri wants to call them

They aren't thinking about these matches. They are thinking about when we play Bolton, Scunthorpe, Bradford, Coventry and the last match of the season Chesterfield.

It's basically a trial run, an experiment whilst the pressure is off.
If it goes well (which it should) then we're more likely to have extra tickets when it's really needed towards the end of the season.

Have to give credit as it's actually a bit of forward planning by the club.

could also be to see how many blades we can squeeze in to allow the kop to be rebuilt in time for the prem in 18 months

Because the upper and lower tier are exactly the same aren't they, it's not like one section is any different or any better...

It's basically like having to charge fans on John Street the same as away fans are charged on the BL upper. Madness.

But I understand that it's way beyond the FL, or any football authority, to set such guidelines on an individual basis rather than taking the much easier route of one rule for all.

The problem is storing the beers when the ground is only used once every fortnight or so, hence easily-storable and durable chemical shit.

You start of by having a small amount of kegs, so you're sure they sell out each home game. They don't need to be stored anywhere, only than on the day.

I just read this, it was on the SUFC website, it refers to opening up the bottom tier of the Bramall Lane stand .....



for me it shows the creeping lunacy of the council (it goes without saying that SYPD blues lost the plot many years ago) who, it would appear to me, seem to be worrying about things that really aren't their concern.

Because inevitably the supporters of opposing teams will bump into each other all around the place, getting into cars parked here there and everywhere, in pubs, just milling around before the match, in the town centre, at the station, etc. etc. etc.

Its related to calling a football match off because its icy and yet the pitch is warm and in good condition..... people might fall over, driving might be tricky and yet when was the last time Sheffield Council having chatted to Plod; called off 'Thursday' for instance and suggested people shouldn't bother turning up for work because there had been a hard frost??

It also recalls (and I'm trying not to be distasteful) the stupid situation at Hillsborough in 1988 & '89 where by far the better supported team, Liverpool, were made to squeeze into the Leppings Lane End and Nottingham Forest had bags of room on the Kop - wasn't this situation caused by the Police thinking they could keep the rival supporters apart from each other so they didn't even have to meet on the Motorway or ANYWHERE on their way into the stadium.

Its just naive human traffic engineering and so full of faults, its laughable. Do they really think that supporters of opposing sides don't mix when the exit Old Trafford, or Anfield or Wembley - why do they think that Merseyside Police, Greater Manc. or the Met don't close down areas of their stadiums and yet it doesn't seem to cause rioting...apart from at West Ham of course where its such a shambles they mix freely inside the ground too?

They would charge us £40+ but the rules state they also have to charge home fans in similar stands £40+ too.
Wednesday get round it by having big saving on season tickets and membership schemes.

Next season we can only charge Wednesday the same price we charge our fans.
Reckon we'd have a category A+ at £35 for home supporters
We'll probably introduce extra categories, maybe increase prices massively but have massive savings if your a season ticket holder or member.

The lower tier only held 2,990 in the PL.

When we play Bolton and Bradford demand is likely to be more than 3K.
Next season loads of clubs would be able to bring 4K if offered tickets, especially if we keep prices reasonable.

Price tickets well, show a little ambition and next season could see us averaging 25,000 if we go up.
