good decision but silly of the club to charge 2 quid more that tells me they dont want to sell any there why not just try full adult price and any kids a quid might get a couple of thousand in then
Maybe because it's a trial and near the away support they're trying to encourage less boisterous supporters? From some of the threads I've read there seems to be quite a few supporters who'd pay an extra couple of quid to get away from the gobshites on the kop (I'm a massive twat, I swear a lot and get up for a pie/piss just before half time and I'm usually late back in my seat for the second half) so maybe this is intended to be a place where you just watch the game without some balding fat bloke next to you shouting 'gerrit int box' and having to tell the kid in front waving his phone to 'siddarn'.

Biggest plus is that it wont take half an hour for one slow witted ball boy to retrieve the ball when there are a few in there.
I dont know about that the one at the Kop end [ Wilders lad ] seems to be able to read the game and help with a bit of naughty time wasting . As and when required .

Agree with that. It just seems like a way to exploit supporters on the back of the teams good form. Bit of a shitty thing for the club to do to be honest.

Maybe they're trialling this when 3 teams we're playing will have v v few fans. Strong case to continue as there'll be absolutely no issues.

Then when Scunny , Bolton and Bradford come we can have the vocal advantage by having fans in lower tier and extra capacity !

Method in their madness maybe ??!!

Solid point

Why would we have to charge as much as the away fans are charged to sit in a different stand/section?

Because it's the rules of the Football League???

Don't know about all this having to charge what away fans pay on the Bramall Lane End bollocks?

I remember a couple of seasons back tickets for a few games were being sold for the lower tier through the Childrens Hospital and the Philadelphia Social Club for a tenner.

These tickets really ought to be being sold cheaper to try & fill the place up.

I think the aforementioned rules allow for 3/4 special offer matches per year where home fan prices can be reduced but not away fans.

Can't see why we should have the lower tier
The upper tier makes more sense, better view for home fans and less segregation issues

Usually the retort to selling tickets for cheap is that it would piss off those paying in full; whether that's match day or season tickets.
I can't see why people would be aggrieved by cheaper tickets going to those less fortunate. Not that gives an easy solution to assessing who would/wouldn't be eligible, but if this were the scenario i'd be pleased if the club were giving them away every game.

I'd rather go on there than the kop. Last time I was on the kop some fukker pissed all down the back of my legs! :D

I apologise for that i keep missing goals when i go the toilet ;)

Seriously i wondered after northampton 24 half thousand attendance we must had a big take up on the half season tickets & may need to do this release enough for invidual tickets, as remember Bournemouth sky sports documentary explaining bit this saying we only sell this many ST's as we have reserves so many for individual match sales & away fans

How much are the away fans paying? Don't we have to charge the same as we are charging them to sit in the same end?

Fwiw, I'd stick the away following on the bottom (as you say it's a pretty poor view) and open the upper for Blades.
Always thought that would be better mesen

Wasn't it LYDON that 'demanded' the club allow Blades behind both goals only the other week or did I dream it?

Either way, good on the club, somebody is listening to someone.

Now LYDON , demand a Bradfield Brewery kiosk now!

Pigs had their lower tier open on Monday for home grunts ! Bet our club couldn't be refused the request !!

We really need fans in the lower tier. When you see highlights on TV of goals scored at that end, it looks like there's no one in the ground.

Good news ish,

But we should be back to having the top tier and away fans the bottom. It's a terrible view.

Good news I suppose...

But it appears tickets on there are £2 more expensive than the Kop. Why? It's the worst view in the ground. And surely in opening it the club should use it as an opportunity to entice more fans in? Cheaper tickets would achieve that.

Who's going to go on there when you can pay less and go on the Kop?

It would be good to get a sizeable number of home fans in there on a regular basis. This could be a missed opportunity due to the ticket pricing.

I used to have a season ticket on BLLT for a couple of seasons when it first opened, have to say I much preferred sitting there than on the Kop, while the view isn't as good as in the upper tier, I'd say it was at least the equal of the Kop, if not better, and there is more leg room.

Seeing as there's Blades up there in Westfield corner already it would make more sense just extend us accross and let the away fans have below.
But what if Samir finds himself up there and caught short during a match?

IS THAT A RISK YOURE WILLING TO TAKE!?!?!? :O

The novelty value of BL lower would mean bigger gaps in the kop especially the awfull south stand side.

Something about being directly begind the goal may make fans be more naturally more vocal which could help pipe up the Westfield corner as well as add to G and H. Genuinely hope fans take advantage of relocating

I can see huge problems from this ......................... where will SYP put their steel walls?
