Have to agree with you here SBT. Lavery has looked very good of late and deserves a few starts at least now. If only one of his shots had clipped the inside of the post at Cov and gone in eh?

That being said Wilder knows what he is doing and perhaps he just feels he is best as an impact player for the time being.

Yes let's play Lavery and finally stick a Haybrooks sign in Clarke!!

I thought Lavery did well again. He looks so much sharper and fitter than Clarke. I'm not writing Clarke off because I do think he's got something to offer and I also think he hasn't had anything like a good run in the team yet. But, he wasn't good yesterday, I'll be the first to admit it. Lavery really ought to get a chance from the start.

The box of defenders which everybody seems to think were impregnable yesterday got turned and made to look twats by lavery, he looks very fit now and while we are (still) searching for the parter for billy he must have earned himself a few starts.

This run of games people are crying out for clarke to get should be given to lavery instead... I've seen enough to think he offers more than clarke or done..

That run and shot from him near the end was a real 'what the fuck' moment wasn't it?

We're not used to seeing our players do anything like that.

From what I've seen of Lavery when he has come on in recent weeks, he can shoot, beat a man, has some pace and can pass the ball well. He's also half-decent in the air. I'm at a loss why he's not been given a proper run in the side, but Wilder must have his reasons. Whatever they are I think he'll play a bigger part in the second half of the season, Clarke just doesn't seem to be up to the challenge and we can't carry any passengers.

My one doubt with Lavery is whether he can score goals regularly. But that doesn't matter too much as long as he's alongside Sharp. Although he will have to do better than 2 in 25 (Done), which I'm sure he would. I'd expect around 1 in 3 from him in this team. His all round game means he should be an ideal partner for Sharp - he's energetic, can challenge for headers, will work the wide areas and can run with the ball.

I can help you here, its been hidden away, but through some very very laborious and intensive detective work... (most notably reading and listening to Wilder's interviews). in WHF style:
- Lavery needed a preseason from Sept to October
- He hasn't been match fit
- His match fitness hasn't been 100%
- When it comes to matches, he's not been fully fit.

To summarise the above, i can conclude that Wilder thinks he's a twat and Done has some compromising pictures of Wilder.

Clarke has also struggled with an injury and has undergone a similar recovery/ pre season

Solve this dilemma and it will guarantee promotion.

Don't solve it and it's the only doubt left with this team we have now.

We have too good a chance and we don't want to blow it - come on CW, this is your next problem.

You and AK have done brilliantly withy previous tests - here's another.
