Should we try to swap Brayford...

why swap, when Freeman is better than Brayford.

Freeman has much more skill than Brayford ever had in the first place.

Vanity signing. We've moved on.

Doesn't Brayford play centre back for Burton? I think Brayford's days of attacking full back are behind him and to be honest I'd rather EEL over Brayford so if we can sell Brayford at the end of the season, we can re-invest that in EEL. I can't see Brayford leaving in January as Burton won't want to commit to a big transfer fee and wages when they might get relegated this summer, in which case he'll be bacl at our place to fight for his place. Freeman is doing really well though right now and I can't see Brayford going back to right back now.

There is no way Burton would swap any of their better players in January for Brayford because they're as crucial as Brayford is. Irvine has only just signed too. If they get relegated we could have a sniff at Akins and co in the summer.

Yes, he`s one of the back 3 which suits him more than full back these days.

For me Utd need to know exactly where the lads head is. If he is high maintenance and needs to be getting regular kisses, cuddles and arms round his shoulder (like my missus once a month) then for me he can go.

If he wants to come back after getting himself fit and wants to knuckle down and fight for a place (note i said fight for a place and not just be handed one) then i would welcome the lad back.

I never did truly buy into the mass love in with Brayford (though i liked the lad and his initial enthusiasm when he first came) and i always thought he was a bit suspect defensively (an example being the daft corner he cost us v Hull at wembley for their equalizer). That said, he was and could be a cut above this level of hes fit and motivated and provided he doesnt fuk up our budget id definately like to see him back at the Lane.

He can cover both wing back, right back, and centre half, all positions where a bit of decent cover wouldnt go amiss.

Also the advantage is that we take him back from Clough and they can either find the money to buy him outright or they do without.

Bottom line is whats in his head. If hes no longer bothered about sufc then he can go for me. If he is ready again to work hard and battle for sufc then i hope hes given another chance.

Have looked on swapz.co.uk and I reckon our best bets are either a Duncan Ferguson signed Everton cap or 5 x brand new Torres scarf's.

His wages are likely to be a big sticking point, not just for us but for anyone interested in him, particularly with his unfortunate recent injury problems.

Bring him back, decent player and a better option than some of the players here.

If another club wants him then they can pay the right price for him. I don't see why we should let him go for fuck all.

Its highly unlikely we'd be able to get Irvine, I wish we could he's quality, why is it that Clough couldn't sign him for us, just signs shite scots instead (although saying that Coutts and Scougal have come good).

.....and if the lie about the Scots needed it's back breaking, in Fleck we're fortunate to have a great footballer.

Errr .... sorry mate but I have to disagree on Brayford's value .......

He's back to decent form now after injury and therefore is one of the better RB's in the championship. On that basis I would suggest that we should be looking for around £1m - £1.5m if we're selling him.

We regularly have our shorts dropped when we sell players so let's not miss out on a decent saleable asset this time .......;)

Whether the proceeds will be given to Tufty is open to debate ...... o_O

UTB & FTP

He's 29 years old in a couple of weeks. He's had bad injuries. He can only train a couple of times a week. He hasn't played well at right back for a long time. He'll only have a year left on his contract. Beyond Burton/Clough I don't think there'd be much interest in him.

If we get £1m+ for him I'll give you £100!

Does this mean that your missus is up for grabs??

Burton slumping fast. Think they may go down...

Loaded with former/current Blades...McFadzean, Brayford, Williamson, O'Grady, Ward and of course Clough.

Be ironic if we passed them on the way up

Nah - we need Clough and Burton at BDTBL next season in the Championship - we need to show Clough the REAL Sheff Utd and what he actually missed out on.

Burton were always going to struggle given Clough has shown himself completely unable to produce a forward line that scores regularly. To give just one example, Chris O'Grady, who Clough pursues like Captain Ahab pursuing Moby Dick, has zero goals in 18 games (all starts) this season. He has 4 goals in 74 league games (52 starts) since August 2014. And yet Clough keeps signing him. It's bizarre.

Incidentally, I was looking at their squad yesterday and was reminded that Clough did what he wasn't allowed to do at the Lane and signed Shaun Barker, who makes James Wallace look like Joe Shaw appearances wise.

It turns out that Barker has managed the grand total of three games for Burton this season - coming on as a sub in the last 2 minutes of normal time on each occasion.

I wonder if he was given a 3 year contract?
