If we don't go up I will eat my whatever. Every game we dominate possesion, we have loads of shots at goal, how can we fail?

Expecting something like Fleck getting sent down for poaching only for him to be proven innocent 4 years later (he actually bought the rabitts from the market).
Bolton will go into admin and the EFL will deduct us points because it would be unfair to the Bolton fans.
Sorry, I'm babbling and pissed and I've got a fucking big grin on my face!
Up The Fucking Blades!!!

What can go wrong?

The entire squad could be wrongfully imprisoned for rape

The entire squad could be bitten by vampires and have to forfeit all daylight games and only be able to play night matches

The entire squad could lose their memories at the same time and believe that they are a team of steeplejacks

The entire squad could all break their legs doing the Hokey Cokey at the Christmas party

These things all sound ridiculous to an outsider but I could quite easily believe any of them happening

Or by getting replacements in and ruining a very good team.

Wouldn't it be silly to go after a player just because you'd convinced yourself he was meant to fulfil some kind of misplaced destiny? Think you're part right sitters when it comes to new players who aren't compatible with the existing squad, although I think the right recruitment would bolster the squad and maintain the drive to achieve promotion. I think we may well see two or three recruits added, and looking at the quality of Wilder's recruits so far we could well have a squad even stronger than the one we currently have.

Or will it to happen in your case.

By being complacent and not strengthening in January.
we are definitely in a fair place. We look better than just about everybody but we can fail in a number of ways. Thankfully, I don't get the sense that Chris is getting carried away

Dean Hammond is an experienced premiership midfielder maybe he could slot in ?

Sell the likes of Fleck or Sharp in January and then EEL gets recalled by Wolves.

History tends to repeat itself with us. Maybe this January we will have a different approach and add to what we have rather than cash in.

Right now, let's just enjoy the good days like today and try not to get too down if we mess up.

I can unstand why we've raised a few manic depressives, but our problem seems to be overreacting and nothing is going to be won or lost in December, ask Barnsley fans.

The time for shouting from the rooftops or falling on our rusty swords will come soon enough next year but for now, let's just enjoy our bloomin' wonderful football team, and at the same time maybe reflect on the shiite we were watching this time last season and thanking our lucky stars it's all a distant memory.

Warnock cocked up in our last promotion season, not so much by "over-buying" in January (though he was guilty of that), but mainly by trying to crobar the new purchases into a settled outfit.

I hope we recruit at least three good players in January because we're only ever an injury crisis from mediocrity. Imagine us without two of our three classy midfielders, or minus Sharp...

As regards Evans, he looks in decent nick and could be a steal for someone, but I don't get the feeling we want anymore hoopla. Not long until we'll find out anyway....

Wouldn't get too over the top based on a 4-0 against Swindon - Their fans pretty much universally think they are shit and destined for relegation -

Steady on Bruce . One game at a time .
Mind you , if my girlfriend had tits like Batwoman , I suppose I'd be a born optimist too

Warnock also nearly derailed the whole thing by being a complete prick about his contract and trying his best to fuck off to Portsmouth in November 2005 despite his "beloved" Blades being top at the time.

Wilder thankfully has all of Colins good points and more importantly, none of his many bad ones.

I don't think we'll see the same poor judgement this time around. I'd put money on the fact that CW would rather not sign a player unless they ticked the boxes he's created that have made this squad what it is. He'll already have noted those players he likes, and the JTW will reveal who Wilder chooses to sign, or not as the case may be. It's this type of considered approach that marks CW out as one of the better managers we've had.

In which case he might take less than 7 years to get us a promotion.
Not saying I didn't enjoy the Warnock years , by the way.

Whisper it quietly , under CW we might have a chance to finally build a squad intelligently.
Not saying it will happen , seen many hiccups in almost 50 years.
But enjoying each game as it comes is easier with an intelligent manager.

And if it wasn't for his Bladey Bladeness I'd be concerned that he might be lured away pretty soon. Not that he's the messiah, but he's doing a bl@@dy good impression at the moment...UTB

I never get too over the top but I really enjoyed the match today. I assume that's ok to do?
