So after the disappointing ending to Saturdays match (a match which many would have taken a draw in to be fair) it's back to BDBL for the rearranged fixture with Walsall. Now in search of our 16th game unbeaten while Walsall are looking to end a 5 game run without victory. Well we all know how these games have gone recently so lets hope they at least keep 11 players on the field....

Anyway...

Any team news? :)

Looks like Wright is struggling?

Duffy taken off at Charlton second half - a precaution?

Freeman presumably returning?

Otherwise unchanged?

So what would seem like another home banker is likely to see the opposition park the bus and look to hit us on a rare break. Someone will succeed eventually but let's hope its not tonight, so we can move back in to 2nd. Whatever will be, will be however I thin a solid 3-0 win is due and is likely.

Onwards and upwards.

Early goal for us would be absolutely priceless.

We don't want to fall behind though it would make it very very tough.

Expect to see Bash in for Wright and Freeman back in, otherwise unchanged from the Charlton game.

Really hope that Clarke and Sharp craft a goal or two between them tonight as that is the partnership that really needs to start working. Plenty of options on the bench to change things though if it doesn't.

Still going for a 3-0 or maybe 3-1 win.

A good win can really set the tone for us again. It'd put us a point clear of Bolton, suddenly the gap to first would be reduced to a three point margin, and our form continues to be incredible. Winning these ones make a draw at Charlton an okay result and serve as the foundation for promotion.

I know there's a long long way to go, I just want us to stay in the driving seat by returning to the top two straight away.

Scarves, hats and gloves making an appearance tonight!!

Clarke and Sharp again. This has to start sparking very, very quickly.

Deep breath and remove head from hands!!
Another pint required, maybe 4!!

Started great, first 5 minutes lots of quick passing, had Walsall pinned back defending in numbers.

But since then we've lost our way slightly, seemingly content with patient passing.

Crowd is quiet and it's a bit of a chess match. We look good passing around the centre circle but we're still playing in 1st gear.

Fairly even game with us just edging it.

Now starting to create some decent chances, bit unlucky that we haven't scored.

Duffy looks our best performer, some really classy play.

Regards EEL. He hasn't had that much to do but he's looked slightly nervous and only won half his headers. Don't think Lambert will be impressed on the little touches he's had so far.

0-1 down against the run of play.

Looks like EEL was at fault for the goal. Very sloppy.

At least Lambert won't want him back.

How did Oztumer end up at Walsall? He was class for Peterborough last season.

Just seen it on Sky Sports News. Looks like EEL gets fooled by thinking the striker is going to take a touch.

Half-time 0-1 down.

We're clearly the better team and done most of the attacking but Walsall have defended well. Again Moore had nothing to do apart from pick the ball out of the net.

Been a few goal mouth scrambles where the ball could go anywhere. It always seemed to fall to one of their players to clear the danger.

We've tried the long ball out to Clarke but it's not working. When Clarke does flick it on Sharp is no where.

Again the Sharp- Clarke partnership hasn't worked with Sharp looking the weak link.

We've created some good positions but yet again our final ball has been hit into general danger areas and lacked pin point quality.

Still hopeful we'll turn it around. You'd expect Walsall to defend in even more numbers now. Might have to rely on a bit of luck with a penalty or a goalmouth scramble.

Dropped 2 points last game just hope we don't drop anymore today as once again we're the better team...

Oops...........jinxed it!

As expected you sense it's only a matter of time before we score.

They are sitting back and soaking up the pressure.

We did actually get the ball in the net but it was disallowed for offside. I think.

Carney comfortably our best player, so much composure on the ball.

Come on Blades ffs, carving out the half chances again but it's brainfart territory in front of goal.

Changes needed Mr Wider. Get Chapman on ASAP.

Just made a good substitution.

Chapman on for Basham.

When it's a packed defense we need someone good at dribbling with the ball direct at goal.

Feels like it's not going to happen. Huge wasted opportunity if so but not a disaster. Still time though....prove me wrong United!
