Doesn't sound very happy, good, we've got to be more ruthless in front of the goal.
We weren't hanging on at all, anywhere in the game, we weren't outplayed at anytime. So to come away with a draw, as good as a point may have seemed at 3-o'clock, gutted.
And reading between the lines, he's let the players know about it as well. They'll be up for it Tuesday.
Fuck the gods, well get at least 3 against Walsall.
 
We were OK first half but it was 50:50, second half we dominated the game and should really have put it to bed. But we didn't take our chances.

Yep I'd have settled for promotion but good on him. I think it's pretty clear listening to that Chris and some of the players that he wants us to go up playing with style and a swagger and as champions, which would be great if he can pull it off.

I'm really glad he's a Blade though because I think we could be getting a few envious glances coming our way as the season wears on especially on the back of what he did last season.

Yeah, I'd have just chalked this game off as a bit of bad luck, worked on taking our chances, and considered it a good point. It's clearly rattled him and he seems to have that competitive element where nothing but a win is good enough.
 



Absolutely spot on from Chris, seems to have very much a Man Utd under Fergie mentality towards constantly attacking and not just to be 'happy that we're comfortable and playing well'.

The aim is to play well and to win, never stop attacking
 
This is the most annoyed he has sounded since Millwall and we all know what happened after that! Back then it was all about cutting out the mistakes and getting that first win; this time it will be about turning wins into demolition jobs.

The question is whether the players are good enough to go up yet another gear. I think many are playing to their capacity. Therefore December will no doubt crystallise Wilder's opinion about what he needs in January and perhaps who he no longer needs.
 
Interesting many Charlton fans said our whole team was brilliant let down by twoo ageing, slow strikers in Sharp and Clarke. Many of them said if we had better strikers we would have won 4 or 5-0. I definitely think we need to really splash the cash in January on a quality compliment to Billy. Not sure any of the other options are quite goood enough (useful certian games/subs) but none have scored consistently this season or played consistently.

We will need a centre back and a centre forward in January. Like to see us go for the lad at Bristol Rovers, Taylor.
 
I'd like another striker too but Omar Bogle is getting further out of our reach with every passing week.

Now who could that leave?
 
Great to hear him so gutted. He really could turn us into that relentless sort of machine that Northampton developed into (after their own shaky start) last season.

Reckon he'll go ballistic if he doesn't get the sort of response he's seeking, come Tuesday.

Just seen this 'interesting' fact from the report of Burton's performance at Preston:

"Jackson Irvine's strike was Burton's first in 406 minutes away from the Pirelli Stadium"

Edit: Sorry, my bad. I thought it meant first strike at goal but it meant first goal.
Not as bad as I thought.

I was there today. Burton should have scored 3 or 4 before PNE got their arse in gear.

Burton fans told me this was the first time Clough had played a back 4 this season. Not a criticism - they're just in dreamland, as one 70yr old Brewer told me. :)

Nope - Nether Edge. No connection, just taking in a game. :)

A lot Burton fans are on a grand tour of famous football grounds this season. Bloke today said he used to drive past Leeds to see Burton at Farsley Celtic. Now he's seen them play there, and he's off to Villa, Newcastle, etc etc...

In other news, Brayford had a solid game today. Chris O'Grady too. Can also see why they allowed Duffy to leave - they're going spend a lot of this season chasing the ball... :)
