If Shrews keep this up we won't have a squad left over. They seem to think this is the fucking Somme the way they're going in.
The first sending off was harsh but tackle on Coutts a disgrace. Might be why Gary Sinclair is playing I Predict A Riot at halftime!

Didn't look harsh to me. No attempt to win the ball and Lafferty's controlled it a few yards from goal. Even with the new rule changes it's a red.

Couldn't get to the game today - how serious did Duffy and Coutts' injuries look?

Now Freeman injured FFS.

Not ideal, I think we have good cover for Dufffy. But Freeman and Coutts are two players who are a little bit hard to replace in our starting XI with the options we have.

Is this cynical from Shrews, if they injure one or two more of our players we have no subs left. Could be their way of trying to get themselves back into it? Need the third to settle things down.

What a shit second half. We should have killed it off but got complacent and cocky at times. Very disappointed.

Bury got beaten a little too convincingly for my liking. But that second half should stop anybody being complacent on Tuesday.

Duffy seemed to know he was coming off fairly quickly, Wilder says calf injury. Freeman was a knock to his back, Coutts lucky not to be stretchered off but hopefully both were just precautions.

scunny found 10 man oldham a stiff task today
football is weird some days
30 shots at goal should have meant more
but we won
and have saved some goals for tuesday

The only thing that was important in that second half was that we didn't get frustrated that we weren't four goals clear. They scored from their only chance and otherwise we were dominating possession and making a lot of chances. Just not quite ruthless enough at times and wanting too much to score good goals for themselves instead of doing the right thing for the team.

But overall there was no point in that game I didn't think it was a comfortable win.

Said in shoutbox, Coutts was sitting in the stand second half. Didn't look to be limping so while perhaps a little bruised, I think his reaction to the opposition may have been something to do with his substitution.

Knill was getting Scougall ready before Duffy indicated he was going down, so I'd guess that was something picked up in training/warm-up which they knew about.

And Freeman hobbled round the pitch unaided, so hopefully nothing more serious than a bit of bruising.

Freeman back injury, hence being able to walk. Hope he's not too bad because we'll struggle to replace him , possibly Bash , I'd certainly rather see him at wing back than messing things up in the middle.

We created oodles of chances.

Poor finishing, bad luck, good defending yes, but complacent? - not for me.

thought shrewsbury played better with 9 than 11.. that would have ended 2-2 last season
credit to them as well.. great rearguard action

I thought we made too many sloppy unforced errors in the second half and it had the feel of a training ground game. A game of contrasting halves but glad we saw it out in the end.
