It was about a month ago Wilder said we needed to score more goals. 7 games and 26 goals later, do you think he's happy?

How great is it to have a team scoring so freely and not just relying on the strikers to get the goals.

Well it's a good job we don't rely on Done, that's for sure....

Time for a change, Tufty.

Come on Pinchy. Accept my bet. Your views are looking more likely at the moment.

Very true, I'm a fan of Dones work rate but its not enough, especially when we have a quality striker like Clarke on the bench

I can't mate, because I agreed with the proposition you were asking me to bet against! I did make a counter-offer, though.

Me and Wilder both said we need to be aiming for 75 goals..... we look well set to surpass that.

On Bergen's goals prediction thread I was also dismissing those predicting things like 90 goals..... doesn't seem so far fetched now.

It remains to be seen whether we keep it up. But getting this amount of goals so far from this squad in the circumstances is very impressive.

Got you on Done and your mate on Basham ,neither of you think we are a team and 26 goals in 7 games and 12 unbeaten might mean our Sheffield United team is quite good as it is ,including these 2 ?

My mate? I'm sure no one will admit to that! We are indeed a team and the best teams constantly look to improve. Basham's defending was so naive, not least for their goal. He should give way to JOC. Runaround Done is simply not good enough. I want more than two goals and tireless but futile shadow chasing from a striker. He's an up-front Montgomery.

As, I've said before, Tuftyball demands hard work and if you don't do it; you don't play. That doesn't mean it's enough in itself. Leon Clarke quite clearly offers so much more.

Its interesting talking about who should start but for me its about the squad over 90 minutes not just the starting 11, with half an hour to go and you can bring on Clarke, scougal, lavery,Chapman etc that sounds fucking exciting to me something to look forward to in every match.

Clarke is an upgrade on Done. It's a squad game but for now Clarke has earned that shirt for me. Done will play his part.

Some daft twat has posted this already, about four hours later |-O

Dones worth is not so black and white.

Comparing Clarke and Done
Finishing and heading: Clarke wins
Link up play and intelligence: Clarke win
Work rate and closing down: Done wins

So overall Leon Clarke beats Done however we seem to be getting a lot of joy pressing high up the pitch.
Although Sharp is a good finisher, he also has a high work rate and presses wel

But Done presses/ closes down defenders better than anyone at the club.
Against Port Vale a big factor in our win was their defenders weren't allowed to settle and play the ball to their midfielders. Done was instrumental in closing down and unsettling their defence.

There is a logic to play Done first to unsettle their defence and make them work hard.
Then Clarke comes on for the last 30 minutes when their defenders are knackered.

However today Clarke looked really good, so probably deserves a chance in the first team.

How many victories have we had with Clark as a starter ,how many have we had with Done ? Done shades it for me .
