I'm glad that's all. We won today, after a brilliant second half. That is the relevant point.

And if he played like that all the time chesterfield wouldn't be in the position they are...

He was....looked unfit and on his arse after 30 mins mind.

Small point though.....he wouldn't bring much to our side in his current state. Doesn't do the graft, simple as that.

Makes a refreshing change that a clear banana skin with ex manager, coach...2 ex players with the obvious links for Evans didn't happen. I predicted a defeat...on TV, unbeaten run, their poor run...my experience of the blades pointed to defeat.
Maybe just maybe I can start to put these kinds of thoughts behind me.

Think about your recent experience's about the blades and you will be fine griz

He did look decent and if Wilder is interested in him then maybe he should sign him.

If he hadn't got any ties with SUFC no one on here would be even contemplating signing him in January.

The ONLY player that looked half decent for Chesterfield was Ariyibi and he'll soon be off if Big Dave & Puppet Chris get decent offer.

Evans, no, nowhere good enough for this United squad.

He's not our player & we don't need him. Not remotely interested in him. Still remember how his all round crapness as our #1 striker contributed to our last relegation.

I understand that, and his "performance" at Watford that season in the horror show there lives in my mind for its sheer incompetence. And while I would rather we steered clear of Evans, he's clearly got a lot more about him since that time.

He was indeed a handful and their threat all but disappeared when he (and Nolan) went off - he did get a bit of fortune with that. It seemed like him going off gave us the confidence to go for the kill.

He looked very strong, Basham couldn't get near him, and he barely gave the ball away. He was a threat around the box, set up their goal and always manages to gets shots off. He could easily have scored today.

In the first half I thought we were set up wrong to contain him - he tends to pull into the wide areas and at RCB and LCB we had two players who he can get the better of physically. It was a mistake to go with that back three. EEL and O'Connell in those positions would've seen us deal with him much better.

I think it helped us when he switched wings because he was running Basham raggid

He hasnt had the chance to - surely you're aware of that?

If he stays fit he'll score plenty of goals for them. His goals may well keep them up.

I thought Clarke oozed class when he came on .

Imagine what the unmentionable could do in our present set up
Yes,i thought he did well and could do a good job for us,but I thought Clarke looked more impressive..even though he didn't have as long on the pitch...Cracking goal aswell.
