Yes but was Millmoor closer than Saltergate ? I think we should be told

Blazers? When was this. I don't remember people wearing any kind of jacket on a night out in the late eighties. It was too close to being a coat, the wearing of which being an indication that one was nesh.

You never went to Josies' then.

They used to have a man mountain of a bouncer called unsurprisingly 'Big Jim' (about 6'9" and built like a brick shithouse). You had to wear a jacket to get in and woe betide you if you took it off inside. A booming shout of "JACKET" would echo across the club and everyone would leap to put theirs back on.

You didn't mess with Big Jim.......

Well if we're putting orders in like. Can you just detour a bit to the Chatsworth Pilsley Farm shop and bring us some Chatsworth Cure back bacon. Bout a couple of pound should do. Ta.

Jim Moran better known as Lurch. He was from L**ds. I have met him a few times through my mate who was also a bouncer at Josies. He used to be a wrestler

He's not with us any longer bless him. Wow he was huge, his jacket was burgundy if I remember right.

The bar staffs attire was much more appealing.

“Y’know, I remember the 1989/90 season, which began badly and went downhill from there.
But even though we were ultimately relegated we did a memorable double over the Blunts.
Hope, there’s always hope.”

I well remember both those games, we must have have had about 30 shots on goal in both games and lost 1-3 and 2-1 whist I swear Chezzie managed to score with every attempt they had. Two of the most bizarre games and results of that or any season especially as you consider we managed to go up whilst they went down.

Jim was 6ft 8" I think, just to be accurate ;-)

In a way the pressure's all on you lot.

We're shite and at 4/6 with most bookies you're expected to walk it.

So if they don't class this game as a derby, what game do they class as one?

I don't class them as a derby because we have Wednesday. But who do they have?

Its a novel protest , staying away on a Saturday for a Sunday game
always worth trying something new
perhaps a car park protest in chatsworth house farm car park is next on the agenda

"I could turn up on saturday, give Allen my money and hold up something pithy written on a bedsheet."

Tracy Emin's in the house...

I could hold my bedsheet up with nowt written on it as a dirty protest
