I understand that Danny, and why you posted it. Sadly it gives people who think they can run the club AND. manage the team ideas above their station. Basically, the I know better than you crew feel validated despite no proof whatsoever.

Pathetic really simply because, as has been pointed out, why pay him then?

I'm guessing Brayford and Clough sorted out the contract.....

Whilst I agree that I am surprised Lavery has not played 90 minutes yet, especially in a match like today's, I cannot believe there is even a suggestion he's not started because of a fee. Absolutely ridiculous

I have already pointed out that it is literally impossible for Wednesday to have inserted such a fee into his contract, so this isn't even a debate

It doesn't matter who is better than who ,it depends on the situation. Chapmans hat trick today only came when Lavery was on the pitch just to add to the pot. Some people really do connect playground football and football manager to pro football.
 
I didn't think much to Lavery when he came on to be honest, and taking away all the conspiratory bullshit, I just think he might not be all that good, and Wilder has maybe seen that, and has got other preferred options up front.
 
I'm going to put my head on the chopping block here and say I don't think Lavery started because Chapman is away with the U20's from now so won't feature for a few games and he probably deserved a start. That was warranted.

I think Lavery will play in midweek, and I don't think we have to pay Wendy after his first start. This was just a pub rumour to provoke discussion. Would it have surprised me for the past 4 years? No. Under Wilder? Most certainly.
 
Even for some of the bad decisions our board has made, this one would be up there - i.e. signing a player who can't play 90 mins for financial reasons - in the new era of sensible wages etc. Hope it is just a rumour.

Thing is, ST is right. There's a distinct difference between stalking and correcting another poster's errors. You ought to learn from this rather than squawk because you've been identified as a supposed Blade who considers it 'amusing' to incorrectly critique the club he says he supports. By all means take the club to task when it deserves it, it's just on this occasion you're way off base.

With Sharp scoring regularly, Done's workrate, Scougs doing a good job as a number 10 in Done's absence, Chapman's hat-trick the other day and Clarke being back tonight, Lavery will be lucky to get on the bench let alone start.
