And the Blades fan who served in world war one! A Blades fan for 90 years. There's dedication for you. Brought a tear to my eye.

Me too as Sinclair made that statement.

On another level I find Sinclair appalling. Blade or not he's a DJ first and foremost and it's embaressingly obvious.

Wonder if it is exactly 90 years, in which case the poor bloke just missed out on our 1925 FA Cup Final victory. Bugger!

Don't think he served in World War One he would have had to be about 115
I thought the same aswell.

I think he's very good personally. A million times better than many other stadium announcers.

Apart from the fact you can't hear a word he says when subs are being made?
BTW he isn't a stadium announcer. They sit out os sight and make announcements. In the stadium.
Sinclair is a Sinclair announcer. "Oh Maggie I wish I'd never seen your face"

Gary Sinclair said the guy has been following the blades for 90 years..respect
It's reveille...think it's French for wake up
it was a very moving tribute

I take it he's not your cup of tea then?

The older I get the more moved I am by our remembrance events. Having kids really made me appreciate the value of sacrifice and ensuring the safety of the next generation. I always tend to cry these days when the last post is played...... what a softy!

I know how you spell it and I know it's French, but in this instance it is pronounced how I said earlier in the post.

I can always hear him perfectly well, unless the crowd drown him out.

He's good, that bloke we have when Gary is on holiday is useless.

You're right. That bloke we have when Sinclair is away is useless.

That dosen't make Sinclair good.

He is twee, dated, self serving. Yes he's "reassuring" as he's part of the furniture. So was Kelly Temple.
And Ed Stewart.
The music played is largely gash. Paul Unwin would blind Sinclair. Always did.

Sinclair does the announcements well. Always have to give him credit for when he's done readings for occasions like the Speed tribute.

His choice of music is beyond bad though. Stop plugging John Reilly's musical diarrhoea and we'll all be better off.

I can't be the only one who read the thread title as "Burglar before game" and assumed he was using the minutes' silence to steal from McCabe's office without being caught!

Unless you get into the ground at 2.30 then you have to put up with about 3 songs, hardly unbearable no matter what music he chooses.

I'm talking about the whole experience.
And it's all about Sinclair. Even the faux wipe away a tear today.

Just the dyslexics.
