Watching Jamie turning BC inside out, what a game he's having. Sidwell chips one in from the half way line, brilliant and Murphy scores Brighton's second after great dribble and shot. HT 0-2 Brighton as they pull further away from the snorters. :)

He and Brighton are on this performance looking very good. I see the top two in the Championship have pulled away a bit.

Brighton coming good as Norwich slump, looking like a two horse race.

Brighton are in an incredibly good position. 7 points ahead of Norwich and the other teams up there can't be expected to contest automatic promotion. They've simply carried on doing what they were doing last season and no one else has stepped up to the plate, hence their league position.

1 Newcastle Utd 16.............37
2 Brighton 16.......................34
3 Huddersfield 16................29
4 Reading FC 16...................28
5 Norwich City 16................27
6 Leeds United 16...............26
7 Birmingham City 16.........25

Interesting that the top two have goal differences of +21 and +16, and nobody else has anything better than +5 (only 2 clubs). It shows that many clubs are performing at a similar level in what is a very competitive but open division. A lot of teams have a genuine chance of getting in the top 6.

Also interesting to see Leeds, Reading and Fulham up there, they were three of the clubs I was interested in looking at this season, along with Wolves. All had plenty of activity in the summer, all have new, mainly foreign managers and all were hard to predict.

Sickened by his sale

Effin Brighton,
Just shows how times have changed and how certain clubs just seem to get lucky with a boardroom that want to take their club places and some get Kevin McCabe and his 19th century yes men

On the other side ,isn't Gary Oneill the most over rated player in football ,Ive never seen him have a decent game ,Jose Baxter in disguise and coincidentally a complete wanker too apparently.

Apparently Murphy can only use his right foot
Well according to Danny Higginbottom anyway

Chris Hughton is a victim of just being a very good manager who doesn't show off in the media or being johnny foreigner ....if he was a pratt and from tinbuktoo he would be in the premier league hopefully next year he will be.

Don't know what's happening to this board. All in the same week Scougall, a player signed by Clough and Murphy a player who improved enormously under Clough are both having praise heaped upon them.

Soon somebody will post that maybe the Son of Brian wasn't all that bad.

I'm a prat from sub-Saharan Africa and I'm not I'm the premier league. :(

Brighton are very consistent, Chris Hughton is a quality manager.

Do you remember that phone in after we went down with McCabe and people were phoning up suggesting Hughton? Mccabe dismissed him saying he had a great team at Newcastle which is why they went up . Then he appointed Danny Wilson

I thought the lob was sublime , Murphys goal took a wicked deflection , but you earn your luck

Brighton have what united have just now , momentum

but do I care about Murphy or Brighton are doing , not in the slightest

why oh why is this in general blades chat, other football thread is there for a reason

he left 2 years ago , kindly move on

he wears a blue and white shirt now , really dont want to discuss him

Did we have a promotion clause. Will we earn anything if they go up?

I crave attention

not me praising some shit who left to further his career RATHER THAN STAY
HIS non display at gillingham disgusted me

he already had been scouted thats why he did the Im not going to try here act

dah
So was it one game he didn't try or was there more games in which he didn't try? Or alternatively, did he try against Gillingham but was utter bobbar just like the rest of the team that day?

dah?
