Depending on how the league is looking come Christmas i think we should bring back McNulty if he is bagging goals for *promotion rivals* Bradford. We don't need him at the moment, but i'd rather him on our bench than scoring for them! I reckon Wilder will either snap their hand off if they offer decent money or just bring him back.

First time he's scored in ages isn't it? Wouldn't be surprised if they wanted to terminate early.

Get him sold.

Hindsights a wonderful thing.

Fact is we have been light up top, in terms of options.

If Leon and Lavery start to hit any sort of form, he is surplus.

If they don't, and I have my doubts, we will need more firepower. Either new blood in January or indeed Spark back from his loan.

UTB

I agree that if he finds form we should recall him. Not for us, just to screw over a promotion rival

I'd have thought CW would be trying to get McNulty and Brayford out permanently SAP to give himself some more wriggle room.

McNulty is a goal poacher and knows where the net is but I get the impression he's not a Chris Wilder type of player.

McNultys workrate and attitude is questionable and his defensive abilities are nil.

He might have individual ability but CW is more concerned about the team than individuals and I don't think he fits our team style.

Does anyone know if he can play against us on Saturday?

Bring back McNulty in January...then sell him to whoever will pay money for his services. He'll be fifth choice at best and his "best finisher at the club" tag looks like it's switching to Jake Wright the Younger.

I think we agreed to let Laurens Ten Heuvel play against us when he was on loan at Bradford. Can't remember if they picked him or not though.

Typical McNulty finish made much easier by their centre half going arse-over-tit.

When has that ever happened?
I don't see why it's such a stupid question as these replies suggest...

It's an option in the majority of loan contracts. Obviously one I'd assume we wouldn't allow. Although after the Hammond dealings last season, I don't want to assume too much...

Courtois played against Chelsea in the Champions League whilst on loan from them, as an example.

Vertonghen scored against his parent club Ajax when he was on loan at RKC - Ajax ended up losing the title by +1 GD.

I'm not sure how the "EFL" handles these situations, that's all.

Might be because there's a thread on it, rather than the question itself.

The rules were changed. Loan players can not play against parent clubs no matter what.

Didn't see the thread or it mentioned on here "many times". Apologies that I don't spend my life on a message board.

I don't see how posting that question within a thread about McNulty is such an issue.

Instead of a snide remark, perhaps a link to the thread where it had already been discussed would have helped a lot more.

I know those stories because I watched the Chelsea vs. Atletico Madrid game in which Courtois played and I have a good Dutch friend who's an Ajax fan and was annoyed at the time with the Vertonghen situation...

You don't have to be a sarcastic so and so all the time, you know?
