No swerving. It's just that you've exhausted that line so much as you use it whenever you've nothing else to say, which is pretty often.Nice swerve.

That lie you made up is as relevant now (when you get angry about players you haven't really watched) as when you originally lied (and were getting angry about players you hadn't watched).
I made up a lie? So I told the truth then. That lie you made up is as relevant now (when you get angry about players you haven't really watched) as when you originally lied (and were getting angry about players you hadn't watched).
I'm a short arse 5ft8 and I'm definitely bigger than Reed unless he has had a growth spurt . I've been stood bang next to him before and he is one of the few people I have ever had to lower my head to look at
You have to be really really good to play at the professional level with a schoolboy physique, and it seems Reed is nowhere near that good.

Reed is a good player with a good range of passing skills in the sort of mold of Leon Brittan at Swansea (and for a short time with us) However in league one what gets teams promoted is not just passing ability but strong physical aggressive players with height and preferably pace. Reed doesnt have these qualities and wouldnt add anything to the squad at the moment. Who knows though that if we get up he might be what we need.
To where? Non league perhaps?
Don't forget this is Division 3 we're in. If he can't cut it here then he's probably not good enough for professional football?
Size doesn't matter if you impose yourself.
Reed's M.O in recent appearances for us has been to stay on the periphery of the action. He hardly gets the ball, and he can't win the ball.
He doesn't merit a place in the side. Who would you leave out? People know I'm no Coutts fan but look at the facts - we are winning games with the current midfield. Don't fix what isn't broken.
And I will never understand why people talk about Hodgy and Shaw's height. That was 50 or 60 years ago. A 5 foot 7 keeper would get killed in the modern PL.
In Wilder's interview in the Star following Reed and Chapman's appreances for England's u20s he said they were part of the first team squad.Nobody suggested anyone should make way for him in the side on the current run. I'd like to see him on the bench though and well involved with the first team squad. Good to see that Whiteman got on the pitch last night BTW.
In tonight's big game: Iniesta 1-71m, Messi 1.70, Neymar 1.74m, Mascherano 1.74, Alba 1.70, Silva 1.73, Sterling 1.70, Nolito 1.75, Aguero when he comes on 1.73m.

I haven't seen anyone say he isn't playing because he's too small, just that he's not good enough.
He doesn't deserve to be on the bench just because he's a yooooof.
That has to be true because Fleck is 1.7m.
I'm just making the point that Reed is a very, very good player.
I'm worried he's going to lose his way at Bramall Lane and our loss will be some other club's gain. I agree that he should go out on loan rather than just play U-23 football. By January we should have enough more senior players to be able to let him go out on loan.

Quite simply it is proof that England do not have the slightest clue about what they're doing.Another trip for Reed with England U20s.
I really don't understand it. No where near the first team, struggling with the U23s but selected for England, and when he may get a run for the first team in cup matches to stake his claim, he has buggered off to play for England...
On what basis is the England national age groups picked on. Current form?
Are we saying that Reed is the next generation of England star players? Is CW wrong in his obvious opinion on him?
With 60 first team outings we will now be paying a handsome wage for zero return.
Please help me understand.
National league topsLouis Reed turned 19 just 3 months ago and starred for England U-20's in two games recently.
He is a small man but a big player, one of the best young lads I've ever seen at Bramall Lane, age for age.
There is a lot of doubt about the lad because of his size and I've just looked up a list of random names that came to mind when I saw that his height is 1.73m:
In the order that names sprung to mind :
Curtis Woodhouse 1.73m
Stuart McCall 1.70m
Stephen Quinn 1.67m
Alan Quinn 1.75m
John Gannon 1.75m
Joe Shaw 1.73m - centre half!
Willie Carlin 1.63m
Leon Britton 1.65m
Nobby Stiles 1.68m
Paul Scholes 1.68m
Keith Edwards 1.72m
Alan Hodgkinson 1.75m - keeper!
Bernard Shaw 1.71m
Tom Cowans 1.73m
Messi 1.70m
Maradona 1.65m
Aguero 1.73m
Danny Rose 1.73m
Paul Beardsley 1.73m
Gordon Cowans 1.70
Mark Duffy 1.75m
Billy Sharp 1.75m
Size doesn't matter. This lad can play.
