I always enjoy an away day at Shrewsbury. I remember last year's 2-1 win for two reasons: Jay McEveley giving away the most stupid penalty ever for handball and two drunken Blades fans singing very loudly for all of the second half 'Martyn Wooly, Wooly Woolford on the wing'! They livened up an end of season game.

It was better when they had the t'owd fella in the rowing boat fetching the ball back.
He should have moved to Arbroath to get the ball back when it's kicked into the sea.

A game we won, and all of a sudden the playoffs looked back on again, yet you're right that it felt the only highlight was the amusing attempts at the Woolford on the wing chant. Shows how dreary last season was.

Went in the 80s strange thing is Carnt remember score or how I even got there , what I do remember is we was in the seats and the food was really cheap and no I wasn't pissed

Remember going in 80s in 3rd....or maybe 2nd division....drew 2-2?

My first away game at Shrewsbury was at Gay Meadow in the League Cup in 2005. We won on penalties and Joe Hart was in goal for them.
