Yep. That's ok. I am now on the fourth Westons oak aged 2015 Vintage 8.2% which means I will (a) become increasingly belligerent and abusive or (b) disappear from this site temporarily tonight due to becoming comatose or (c) end up as one of those "bye bye and RIP Blades" caused by my own stupidity of drinking too much.

Some great producers in Herefordshire. In particular my favourite Gwatkins. NNx

it hasnt affected your spelling ability yet!!

you need another 5 or 6 me thinks! :D

i will have to try those two you mentioned, the oak aged ones are nice for sure!

alas Worcester went out the last round so no lucky draw for us this year but still some local interest with neighbours Kidderminster and Westfields from tier 9 still going strong having won 6 rounds (enough for teams coming in now to win the Cup!!)
Good effort with this Jonny Red

Being selfish, York away would be really convenient! But as others have said it would be nice to play a new team, as long as we go through of course.

Different question though, when was the last time we were victims of a real cupset? (I'm discounting Crewe to set standards)

I can only ever remember getting knocked out in Round One when we lost to Altrincham in our Fourth Division Season.

That was the last time. In 8 attempts since we've always made the third round as a minimum.

Port Vale at home please.....if Sat is anything to go by. Failing that Crewe away so we can sample the... BEST RUBY EVER.... afterwards in the Passage To India just round the corner from the ground.
My mum might have something to say about that :)

Thank God Hereford no longer have Ron Radford!

He plays for Westfields now

A spring chicken in midfield at 72, does all the unseen work with his big long straggly grey bushy beard stopping opposing attackers from waltzing through into the box :D

That Altrincham defeat isnt all that embarrassing really, especially as the Blades were in Div 4...it might look and sound it now but they were one of the top 3 non league sides around that '81 time and were unlucky not to have achieved league status as well with the way they were still tight on promotion/relegation from the old Div 4 to the Conference.

Just looking at who's left in from the National North this time round, god knows how Altrincham and Curzon have got this far, theyre in the bottom 5 and bloody awful defensively. Kidderminster will give teams a run for their money, they play a certain style that will catch teams unawares if they havent done their homework properly or just think they have to turn up on the day.

Another one to avoid would be Maidstone away...the dreaded artificial pitch!

Have the Blades ever been beaten by a non-league side in a proper game?

As well as Altrincham in 1981-2, we lost to some non league teams in the Cup when the league was 2 Divisions - most notably we lost the Cup Final to then Southern League Spurs in 1901 (although the Southern League was strong at the time of course).

Fun fact: Every single current PL or Football league side has at some stage lost an FA Cup tie to a non league team, except one: West Ham.

Leeds and Portsmouth had also never done this until recent years, but they lost that record during their recent lower division stints.

Ha typical, it would be them wouldnt it?!

You know what would happen if West Ham get a non league team in the 3rd round this season and lose....

The FA would get the game replayed or put them through on some technicality!

I remember Kidderminster giving them a run for their money back in '94 but they scraped through.

Dover away, with the kick off moved to 7;45pm on a Friday evening due to TV or Police advice looks nailed on.

No.57 Away, which hopefully would be Guiseley, who's stadium is a stones throw away from myself.

Hartlepool away, we haven`t been this season, and I`m missing the old place o_O

The Altrincham defeat was (I think) a second round replay after we had drawn with them at BDTBL 2-2.
I was at the 2:2 draw, I had a pig supporting mate with me, after the match some other Blades started on us because piggy friend was wearing the England away shirt under a jumper and the collar was lthe same as Altringham colours, hence he had to show the England shirt.
