The debate about our current strikers and Matty Done in particular (and boredom at work) got me thinking, what would be our hardest working 11? Not players that were the best just ones that you never came away from a game saying he hasn't given his all there?

Bryson. Hardest working Blade ive seen since i started going in the seventies. There were times when the lad could hardly muster a walk off the pitch if he had been subbed with 10 to go, as he was that fked. Fantastic attitude and defintely very underrated by a lot of blades was Jock B.

Considering his diagnosis, Armstrong was a remarkable player.

I'd perhaps add Akinbyi to your list over Kabba. He was useless but he did work hard.

Was struggling for a last one, as you can tell I'm young so never saw the likes of Whitehouse or Bradders, Kabba was best I could come up with as I like to remember his best days!

Even though he's never scored more than 6 goals in a season in his professional career except for the first season when he joined us? And he's scored 2 in 11 games so far?

Would you stake your job on that if you were Wilder?

Because that's what it boils down to. Hope you're right and I'm wrong but realistically he may get 10 goals at best this season and that isn't enough I'm afraid.

Dean Saunders, despite the fact he fell into the 'one last pay day category' age wise, I was always impressed with the effort and enthusiasm he displayed whilst playing for United. Great professional who clearly loved the game, shit manager tho'

I can totally understand that view point, as that team led us to what possibly is one of the lowest points of being a sufc fan. That said, you knew in your heart that out of that motley collection of losers, probably TK was the only one who seemed to give a shit and would have been hurting like the rest of the Blades family that horrible day. The rest of the Utd 'team' that simply gave up and fell apart that day were probably tucking into their left over turkey dinners and knockin back the booze at 3pm that day with a shrug of the shoulders and a 'never mind' attitude. TK would have been mortified about the result cos he geninely cared (and still does) about sufc. The rest of that team i agree with...i would cross the road if i saw any of them walking towards me, but TK shouldnt be tagged with the rest of those losers imo.

Peschisolido? I'd say he was a harder worker than Kabba. I liked Kabba a lot but found that when he was having an off day, he just stood about sulking.

Yeah perhaps, always ran his bollocks off when he came on, was quite tempted by Shipperley because for his size and age he worked hard!

I'm not saying he's going to / has set the league on fire with his prolific goal scoring ability. But if he carries on playing the way he is by taking 1 or 2 defenders out of the game by legging it around and causing havoc behind the lines that's as good as goals, as long as the other lads bang em in.

He's definitely got goals in him, i'm sure most of his goals were scored inside the 6 yard box, so maybe he should spend more time there?
