Solidly in the middle of the table, three wins in a row including two from behind and looking like we've got goals in us.

All after a much needed major overhaul of the squad.

Something's definitely changed, obviously the squad but the mentality as well. We don't seem like a team of losers any more. We seem to have more desire, ambition and belief.

We've given ourselves a platform now but have to start conceding fewer goals. Sounded like it should've been at least 4-1 today.

Dominated by the sound of it, only lost concentration twice and Sod's law with it being us they scored both times.

Peterboro and Scunny will be a good test of where we are at, if we win both of those it could really be a sign good times are here.

Three more points, they never make it easy though. Created enough chances to have made this a walk in the park against better sides they need to be more clinical. Concerning the silly free kicks given away allowing opposition to launch into box, but sure CW will sort it we move on.

We would have won three nil with a Chris Morgan in the defence.

We will need that sorting in January hopefully to complete the jigsaw to launch an assault on the top two places.

Think we might be back in for Craig Morgan in January, then possibly stick with the back three with EEL and O'Connell either side of him.

Still very early days either way.

Not really wanting to put a dampener on things but we are still 12th and are yet to keep a clean sheet in the league.

That's a concern, but if you told me we'd be scoring goals, winning from behind and winning three in a row with more than one way of playing, I'd have been very pleased with that as a platform to build from.

It is pleasing, and the signs are good, but I don't want people to get carried away with it. Last season we hit a good run of form around December time with 4 or 5 straight wins. Then it went belly up again with a home defeat to an average Peterborough side.

Next up, Peterborough,,,,,,

Yes but we're MOVING FORWARD and look to be improving so keep the patience and let's let go of any negativity.

When you can change things around by bringing players on like Fleck, Clarke, Chapman and Lavery then the future is looking good. Clarke and Fleck sounded on it when they came on.

Often when you go a long time without a clean sheet you get one in a game you least expect to, so it wouldn't surprise me if we got one against Peterborough. Got to remember that they'll be going into that game more worried about us than we will be about them. I'd love a hard fought 1-0 win.

Its a pleasing recovery from an awful start that had us all worried, amazing how a couple of weeks can change the mood so quickly. Hopefully now Wilder has finally drilled it home that this is L1 and there is nothing here to worry about. The acid test this season will be at home with the players handling the expectation from a large and at times frustrated crowd, I think the majority will step up to that test.

Wilder's created a competitiveness within the squad and he's got everyone wanting the shirt. The players have developed a desire and hunger. Fleck and Clarke haven't come here to sit on the bench but that's how it is at the moment. Credit to them they're fighting for a shirt and not sulking and that's also credit to Wilder.

What I like about now is that we are entertaining with our up and at 'em style - what a contrast to Adkins (yawn) and negative Nige (yawn)

Looking forward to next Saturday already

I was just thinking it is genuinely the first time in ages we've had 'competition for places' it was all very well that scouse cunt last season threatening changes but how could he? All he could do was swap shit player a for shit player b.

We now are in a position at the back and up front with Lavery coming in where Wilder will have a selection headache.

In reality we are

A mistake from Long away from beating Rochdale, an O'Connell moment of madness away from taking a point at millwall and a wonder goal and some clinical finishing away from 3 points at Bolton.

Now, I know it's not that simple but that would have just left the southend horror show .Hopefully the luck has started to change and we can start to challenge. Still work to be done but I feel happier than 3 weeks ago and have some confidence we might have something to play for this season.

And if my auntie had a cock she'd be my uncle.

Haha Like I say all conjecture but at least I can see a plan this time round.

Cant really remember enjoying a match last year or even seeing any improvement. I felt Adkins just didn't have a clue how to improve things or even knew what was wrong. Wilder has hopefully shown he can resolve this issues and is starting to implement his philosophy

You're right in the sense Wilder appears to have been more ruthless than Adkins was in dealing with matters still early days yet long time before the boxes of kleenex can be opened.

I prefer to say that we're now only 3 points of second place, and having finally got the 'not scoring first' monkey off our backs, we can now focus on keeping clean sheets. ;)

Expected to win today but a good run of results. We'll see what they're made of when we play the better teams but the new formation seems to be paying dividends. Let's hope Chapman, Fleck and Clarke don't get upset!

Little things can alter games
swansea c chelsea yesterday
Chelsea were wiping the floor with them then 2 bits of craziness and they are 2-1 down
weve lost 0-3 to southend
which is still their only win due to 3 bits of craziness

but this happens occasionally

we lose at millwall to a crazy handball
then win at gillingham in nearly identical crazy fashion
its why footballs impossible to predict

Can honestly say I wasn't worried. It was never going to gel immediately with that scale of change, I'm amazed with how quick CW has managed to turn things around. It we had been bottom 4 after 12 games then I would have been worried. ;)

We could still be bottom 4 after 12 games
