I WILL HAMMER YOU
Kia Joorabchian says he has the evidence to sink West Ham over Tevez
Friday February 29,2008
By Harry Harris
Kia Joorabchian last night declared he has the evidence to prove West Ham broke third-party ownership rules again – even after being fined £5.5million.
Referring to his writ against the club, he said: “This could send shockwaves through the game.”
Joorabchian has brought a £7.1m court action against West Ham over the Carlos Tevez affair.
The club yesterday filed their defence, but Joorabchian told me exclusively last night: “Time’s ticking and the implications are immense, because I will be amazed if up to 10 Premier League clubs do not ask [Premier League chief executive] Richard Scudamore to reopen the case against them.
I know they have broken the rules and broken them badly.
“They have been lying and cheating and I promise you I have brought this court case, not because of the money but because it’s personal.”
Lies may seem a strong word but even the Premier League, when they decided to impose a record fine on West Ham for their improper conduct last April, concluded that former chief executive, Paul Aldridge, had told “a direct lie” to Scudamore.
“It’s time the whole truth came out,” said Joorabchian.
“I want everything out in the open now and I want the rest of the Premier League clubs to see what West Ham have been doing to them and doing to me.
“There were agreements in place, I know it and they know it and it might have been in conversations but they were in front of witnesses, in front of lawyers – and they write everything down.
“I’m determined to take this case all the way because it’s now a point of principle.”
Joorabchian was, however, unable to discuss in detail the particulars of the claim

Hopefully we will now get some cast-iron proof that West Ham lied. We know they did, they know they did, everyone and their dog know they did, but proof would really stick it to them.

If it transpires that Kia withheld information from previous procedures could he land himself in hot water?

One for Linz, me thinks. :)

He keeps going on about this evidence. so why hasnt the FA said they want to see it and have it confiscated off him?

Old habits…

I don't know what's the more surprising, that people still bring this up over 14 years after the event or that the season before last we finished above them in the PL?

Will we ever finish above them again in the league, or more pertinently how long until we play them again in the league?

to think we could have had jarrad bowen at the time we signed mcburnie for the same 20m that decision has turned out well 🤔

Was we after Jarrod Bowen?

I don't recall us being linked with him in the same summer we signed McBurnie.

Bit harsh for a first offence.
Hang on a minute...

'The West Ham United history books record the club’s 1999-2000 Worthington Cup campaign as having reached the competition’s quarter-final before being knocked-out by fellow Premiership side, Aston Villa. But these plain facts hide a story which culminated in a catastrophic event for the Hammers.

West Ham won the December 1999 quarter-final tie at Upton Park on penalties after the game had ended all square following extra time.
The Hammers were pleased to have reached a League Cup semi-final for only the fourth time in the competition’s 28 seasons. But the bubble burst when two days later it was revealed that one of West Ham’s playing substitutes, Emmanuel Omoyinmi, was cup-tied.

The Football League declared the match void and ordered the two clubs to replay the cup-tie. Almost inevitably, the Hammers lost the replayed tie. The claret and blue dream faded and died due to a player's naivety and an unforgivable administrative oversight.'

Good old Harry F*cking Redknapp... How the f*ck wouldn't you know if one of your players was cup-tied? (He'd played in an earlier round, on loan at Gillingham).

not 100% but i think we were and personally really rated bowen and hes proved to be good value mcburnie hasnt we also know wilder really rated callum wilson and josh king but of course finance once again blocked us another one we could have had around that time was jay rodriguez going on the cheap from baggies for 5m but once again his salary was no doubt out of our reach if we ever get back to the premier league we have to start paying premier league salaries otherwise we will never stay there

Two years ago we were playing and beating the likes of West Ham and Brighton. Now we are so far behind these clubs. Supporters are as passionate as ever but I like many others feel a window of opportunity has been lost. Bad recruitment has been a major factor. Whatever West Ham did or didn’t do in 2007 has long gone. We couldn’t get a point at home against Wigan in that final fixture.

A lot of the support is bitter, angry, and anti-the club we are now. It's not the force it was.

We've been left to ferment too long and there's something dodgy growing on us, if we don't get burped soon, our sauerkraut is going to detonate and we'll be finding rancid cabbage everywhere for years.

I was brought up on rancid cabbage I'll have you know and it never did me any harm 🤪

I think you were very unlucky to have a 'perfect storm' hit you. No fans in, injuries to key players & as you say, getting the recruitment wrong (or them just not working out). Some teams coped ok with no fans in but I think it badly affected you, as a team. Imo, It really derailed the head of steam that you'd built up over the previous 4/5 years. Which can takes teams, a long way.
Fans in last season & I can't believe it would have been as bad. You might still have got relegated but I don't think it would have been as bad.

Doesn't bother me if people call us that & some of your support are far from being the only ones to do it!
Maybe I just think too deep, but luncheon meat with water on it is hardly cutting is it. Same with people calling us blunts. We aren't called the sharps, so it does t make sense.
And anyway, I prefer to keep pork based insults for the tramps just over the way.

Bet some people on here would go back on that March to the FA with Sean Bean. By the way, I have family all over the country who support a number of teams and I can categorically say that we became a laughing stock throughout the whole country.
