Now this is kind of an odd one. This is a position we're short of cover in, and Wilder said nothing but good things about him last night. The lad does desperately need match experience but I thought he stood a good chance of getting that here if injuries occurred.

I think with O'Connell coming in at left back, and Done a possibility it's a good move to make the squad smaller. Kelly is also the u21 left back who was on the bench towards the end of last season

I wonder how many players we'll have left come 11pm. There's our LB cover gone. Didn't Wilder state that he wanted to bring in some cover at left back?

Shame. He's better than Hussey, and he'll prove it.

I thought Done was going back to Rochdale?

Actually, he just said nothing about him last night. This isn't surprising. Unlike Freeman and Coutts, Wallace has not forced himself back into the reckoning.

I can only assume it's because he wants or needs first team football and CW can't guarantee it as he's not prepared to hang Hussey out to dry because he's had a poor start.
Another off the wage bill I guess.
A smaller more harmonious squad with better opportunities for the promising youth team players coming through. That's on paper anyway and I suspect in line with what the owners now want.
Big job for CW.

Wilder wanted 5 players last week. Maybe the transfer comitee misheard and thought he wanted 5 out instead

I'm fully behind Wilder - & on the evidence of last Saturday, he's actually starting to get us playing like a proper, hearts-on-sleeves Sheffield United side again.

But "straight-talking Chris", going by what's happened so far today, has been pretty pathetic in terms of what he's said about transfers recently.
Straight-talker, my arse.

I bet he can't wait for his P45 next summer. It's how we do things.

Just had to watch the interview back. He mentioned Freeman. I would've sworn blind that he said Wallace.

Very odd one, I got told about Brayford going out and then the same guy told me that Kieran looked to be back in the frame. The next match he was on the bench (again) and then the next message i got was that it was all a bit strange as Wilder was still wanting to ship him out. Blade56 will be disappointed in my rubbish ITK skills ;)

I must have heard wrong as I thought he said 3 or 4. We have 1 in already, the centre half from Wolves looks just about there apparently so just one or two more to come in
