I know one club who went from Jamie Murphy to Martyn Woolford... and not over three seasons either, they managed it in one.

you use the term manager loosely with him

he never really got anyone after sharp rung him up to come back , finding others seemed inpossible

McNulty has something none of our other strikers have - skill, creativity, and the ability to make chances for himself. In addition to that he's also the best all round finisher.

We shouldn't be selling him unless we have to. We certainly shouldn't be loaning him out. We most certainly shouldn't be loaning him out to a possible play off rival.

+ he's far better than Matt Done.

Who for? Was released and previously on loan to Portsmouth where he scored 1 in 3 and Chessy? McNulty on the same basis also playing above league 2 and was our leading scorer in league 1 in his 1st season

Season loan?....bizarre.

Loan to a club in the same league, while entered the final year of his contract?

We either want him, or we don't.

If we want him, play the chuff.
If not, then sell him. If it's only for 50k....it's better than the square root of feck all we get when he walks for free. I just don't understand the reasoning behind a loan.

Only thing that could explain the season long loan as opposed to a deal till January is a loan fee.

But surely we'd have takers on a permanent deal, where any fee would only be bigger?

Adkins didn't want him so he loaned him out, Wilder called him back so he could have a look at him. Portsmouth don't want him back.
It now appears that he's on his bike again. Now why would that be?

McNulty is 23 at the start of this season so much like Lavery surely we would be due a fee if he went at the end of this season.

Perhaps Wilder needs something different and to see McNulty play at this level. Come the end of the season he may have done better than the other strikers we have and Wilder may invest more game time for us. Sharp will be 31 at the end of the season. He's going to be on a downward trajectory. Maybe McNulty is his natural successor but Wilder feels he needs games to keep developing?

Just my two cents!

McNulty is a better footballer than Clarke and a better finisher than Sharp and Done, why would you possibly want to get rid of someone like this, someone who has a potential high transfer valuation and has plenty of time on his side?

Only Done has time on his side out of those three strikers, why not keep McNulty who is no doubt the best finisher we have and work on his weaknesses with the coaches we have? Or don't we have any coaches to make our strikers any better? He will win us games single handedly at times if given a chance ahead of some bum chums.

Wilder confirms season long loan.

Two more in - a wide man and a centre half. Gutted there's not a centre mid too tbh.

Wizardry for manager! Bang on!!

Loan till end of season, can recall in January if we want. He's not going to play so why ruin his development by keeping him here? Let him go get first team football and reevaluate in January, we have Clarke, sharp, done and lavery here, plenty with DCL as back up for now

Sits back, gets out the popcorn and waits for McNulty to be hailed as the greatest striker we never played.

Not the lazy, couldn't give a toss idiot what he actually is. Maybe he's out celebrating his move tonight with the entourage?
