Linked in the paper today if Blackburn don't make him an offer

Could be bullshit. Most likely is but wow. Would be a serious signing even at 36.

Not really what we are looking for but on a cheap one year deal would certainly give us decent experience.
Highly unlikely though

Paul McGrath/Stuart McCall type signing or another Hammond type?

Decisions decisions.

"So Wes, League One Sheffield United?"
"Yes Pete, totally out of the blue. I'd just resigned myself to Countdown, 15-1 & Titchmarsh.. when outta the blue, I gets a call from Chris..."

For all those saying it would be a decent signing, when was the last time you actually saw him play ?
FIFA 09 doesn't count.
37 in just over a months time, played 6 games in last 18 months.
Not for me.

I saw him play in his 'prime'. I wasn't impressed then. Wow....

Reyt good use of the Harry, Murphy and Che money.

And that's from a man who uses VFM toilet paper.

Call me Brownie and shake my hand.

Will he really be any better than Jake Wright? His pedigree is better but at least Wright has played more than a few games in the past 5 years

Great experience but I'd much prefer someone a bit younger, taller and more reliable fitness wise, and no doubt we'd have to give him a two year contract.

It's a no from me ... we shouldn't even be discussing this as a serious proposition in all honesty. He was a bad player in a very good team at Man U. We would get more VFM from Mrs Brown and her boys !!

I seem to remember Luton Shelton ripping Wes Brown to shreds at Old Trafford one night when we were in the Premiership. I thought we had found Hulse a fantastic partner that night.

Regardless of whether you think he was a good player back in his earlier days, he's 36 now, been injury prone for a number of years and not the type of player we should be looking at.

Before the Oxford game I would have said Wes Brown was worth a punt but Jake Wright filled the "experienced old head" role perfectly. O'Connel at LB was a million times better than Hussey too.....We still need another defender though, be it CB or LB..

This, is there a 20 year old Wes Brown available on loan
