I've just read some of the comments on their forum about us......they are a hilarious bunch of chaps....can someone please explain to me the real reason for this 'bitter rivalry' coz I'm 49 years old and have never heard of it or even given Oxford United a second thought......have I missed something through my LSD years.

I don't see it being just a 'Wilder' thing, I read 1 guy was shown videos of us when he was younger by his dad and taught to hate us.......quite bizarre really, but then again very funny and flattering that they are that interested in us.

Its one club I can honestly say that I have never given a second thought too. We have played them 28 times, beat them 14 times, drawn 5 lost 9 including today.

Just been on their forum & thought ..... what a bunch of jumped up cock wombles. Where has this supposed rivalry come from? I suppose by jumping on something big like Sheffield United it give midgets like Oxford a kick.

I remember them getting vexed when we beat them at Bramall lane back in the early 70's. They had a keeper called Kearns who we slipped 3 past on the day, and a gangly industrial midfielder with shorts hitched high, called Ron Atkinson,
