Realise he's not universally popular, & also I'm a bit surprised at the sort of player he is (was expecting more of a flying winger-type), but...

To me, he's got a bit of the Stephen Quinns about him - mainly because of his bravery.

Doesn't let his head go down, even after fucking up. Looks for the ball constantly. Clever, very good movement coming in off the line, & able to slot neat little passes through in dangerous areas. Most important - excellent attitude, keeps closing down, keeps working, & keeps trying to make things happen.

Reckon he'll be a big player for us.

Good but frustrating player - needs good players around him making intelligent runs

For everything good thing he did, he gave the ball away.

However, the fact he was doing things with the ball made the fuck ups more forgivable.

Yeah, it's often not worked for him so far. But, as he gets used to the runs of the likes of Matty Done (who was top class today, I thought), he'll create some serious chances.

Very impressed with his attitude though - he makes a mistake, says 'fuck it' & just seeks the ball & tries again. Exactly what's needed.

He's got plenty to offer but we need more pace and movement in the team alongside him. He's not the sort of player to do it all on his own.

He's a tidy and creative player but he often doesn't see things quick enough and checks back when he could go forward.

If we can get the balance of the team right he'll be influential for us this season.

I like him,but swelled on the ball a few times..a lot more to come i think, and great delivery for Wilson's header.

Done was great today, on the shoulder of the last man looking for a through ball and immense work rate

I was impressed with Done too. Shows what a striker with a bit of pace can do at this level (and Done isn't even that quick to be honest)

crap 1st half - vastly improved in the 2nd.
Great ball in for Wilsons goal.
He needs to play his football in and around the box as witnessed in the 2nd half.
UTB

I thought he looked much better in the second half. Maybe it helps having a solid full back behind him?!

Yep having a strong FB who actually wins the ball, maintains their position and passes to you makes all the difference!

Don't hold back.......do tell, to what extent did he swell? Are we talking a medium size swelling? Or mid-to-large sort of humungousness? Or something indescribably frightening in it's size?

Well they did take him off itsin..I'm guessing humongous.

A very very clever player. Best to give him a free role and let him pick the ball up in little pockets of space. Can sometimes slow the play down and needs players making clever runs off him. He started slow today but didn't drop his bollox and go hiding. He still looked to get involved so got to rate him for that as that's the 'character' CW has been talking about.

Funny thing was hearing a fella behind me referring to him as 'that lil blonde kid' haha I'm sure Duffy would be flattered.

So he had a solid full back behind him which made him swell? I like him too.

Duffy is a good player, he's always offered something wherever he's played but he's been a frustrated player in a team that hasn't started well. Sounds like he influenced the game today and I'm certain he will continue to be influential going forward. Still think he was a great signing.

Most of his mistakes came from him dithering on the ball and weren't at all helped by the total lack of movement around him with our poor start. Similar things happened to all of our attacking players at times, taking too many extra touches hoping for things to open up or just missing the early pass before their defence locked up. That's the kind of thing that comes together the more a team plays together, so there's reason to be optimistic there.

I don't worry too much when a player like him is trying things that aren't coming off, and it's not something I'll get on their back for. More concerning is some of the times he and others give possession away in dangerous positions. Again, hopefully this comes together if they can get some results and confidence flowing so they aren't second guessing their decisions.

Thought he did okay after a very rough start. Obviously gets a lot of points for the set piece and in many ways a player in his position can look at that as job done for the today.

He is our ONLY creative player so he's probably trying too hard. He needs help, he's fantastic for this division with the right players around him.

Basham, sorry, just isn't good enough. And Socugall isn't a winger as good as he was today.

Put in a brilliant ball for the second, far better than any of the crosses we saw from the dead ball specialist
Apart from the corner for the winning goal you mean( or was that Duffy. ...I can't remember)
