The old Wembley wasn't that good. In fact it was a dump. That said, it was Wembley!

My first visit to Wembley, strangely as I have an Irish passport and went with my Dad who was Irish, was for an England qualifier against Luxembourg, which England won 9-0. Blissett got a hat-trick.

I could barely see a bloody thing.

When you see the old Wembley from the tv pictures, it looks big, and from the outside it was grand. From the front anyway.

If you went for a walk round the other side, there was a slip road and a brownfield site.

The name means something though ....

Nah, I just had 80,000 out-of-body experiences and checked out the match from every angle. It was still mostly dull
