If we do get relegated he's ironically probably the best man to manage us in League Two with the experience he has of that league.
Hes served his time in the lower leagues and he,s well capable of this job
We was a couple of minutes away from a decent result Saturday until O,Connell decides to play volloyball.
Looking forward to the Oxford game

I don't know about supporting Wilder as with most things United at the moment I am pretty much indifferent what will be will be. As for it being sink or swim time for the players well more like it is sink or swim time for Wilder, don't know which way it will go and don't really care that much either.

Chris Wilder wont stand for any crap

Does that include from the people in the stands, paying hard earned to watch us have one attempt on goal?
To be out thought, out played by Rochdale, Southend United?

So far i've read that out of the four matches in L1, only thirty minutes were of any standard.

30 out of 360...

Happy Days.

One of the first questions he should have asked.
What's the transfer budget?

He must've been happy with the answer given to take on the job.
Or did he accept because it's his dream to manage the club he supported/played for?

If that's the case, Billy Sharp will be manager in ten years.

Sorry, but if it's driven by ego... it's the wrong decision.
With it being his club, it will have made the budget easier to agree on but I said it at the time and I'll say it again, I think he was told of the budget, then with what he did at Northampton on a small budget, thought he could do the same here.

Some quotes around the time the whole "low transfer budget" stuff came out also support this, as he makes comparisons with Northampton. All this will also have played right into McCabe's hands too, of course.

Big mistake for Wilder to make. And he's finding that out now the hard way.

4 matches in thats all we are mukka

Quite pleased when he was appointed but shocked at how woeful most of his signings look so far - and the terrible performances and results speak for themselves.

Genuinely concerned this team is not capable of turning things around as we appear to be lacking in all the basic requirements of a good team.

Come on.
Fuckin' what's happenin'?

No "Tufty" ...
you's lot are losin' it.

Six years in L1 and we employ a manager who's NEVER managed at this level, has shown so far that his ineptness far greater outweighs his ability to show any signs of change, especially where it matters, on the pitch for 90+ minutes.

If he wasn't a "Blade" there'd be many of you stickin' pins in that replica doll.

Only going one way on the evidence provided so far.

I'm not out... I was never in.

Like you Lydon .... I was never in either and I was quite openly hostile to his appointment albeit on another forum .

But he's here now so I back him to the hilt . He needs time . Simple as that really .

To be fair to the guy aswell , he's actually already done a lot of what was clearly needed . Only time will tell if his version of what a promotion winning league 1 side should look like is realised one way or another .

David Weir was appointed in June 2013, but a disastrous start to the season saw him replaced by Nigel Clough in October of that year.

I've already filled out the newspaper headlines.. saves ya the job, James.

Why is he?
Who has he managed that can compare to Sheffield United.
What has he got that the previous two managers hadn't?

Throwin' open questions for all to respond.

Bit harsh Johnny. He did a very good job at Northampton from arguably a worse position.

I think he's as good as any candidate we could have got, the last two were supposed to be the experienced safe pair of hands. Anyway, this panicking after 4 games is ridiculous. What would plan B look like - sacking Blackwell after the start of the season and Wilson just before the play offs worked out well didn't it? No manager in their right mind would ever come here again if Tufty gets bombed out. I'm supporting him 100% and I'd be in favour of telling him he's got three years to get it right.

I usually find you quite amusing
But your,e way off the mark with your comments

How the fuck can we be involved in a relegation struggle in 6 games time?
So if he has,ent turned it completely around at the end of September hes failed?
End of September we are in a relegation fight!! I fucking despair

Nearly a quarter of the season gone, that's a fair time to assess things. We can't wait too late for a change if its not working. We would need to find a new manager and appoint him, and he would need time to assess what he has and what he wants in the loan window and think about targets for January as well as rebuild and manage his new team of course.

I really hope it doesn't come to that, but if we are down by the bottom we are failing and can't afford to hang around for the sake of it.

Chris, you have my backing. You have managed over 700 games and have improved every club. Please make decisions/changes through your gut feeling and do not listen to the "know it alls" who say that you have never managed at this level, play the wrong tactics etc. The majority of Blades fans will give you time to make improvements to the side and form

There is no Loan window,

The annoying thing about all this is how quickly any positivity has eroded... Fans are going to be frustrated If we start poorly against Oxford and rightly so.

I was pleased pre season. Thought we had a good fit of a manger and had made some decent signings to address our slump. Since then, Performances and results have been pathetic.

I'm still behind wilder cause I think it could have been different.

If we'd taken some chances against Bolton and Crewe. And not conceded that penno in the last minute and long hadn't gifted Rochdale a goal. There's an argument for 3 wins, 1 defeat and a draw.

We would have been mid table with signings to come in and I think people wouldn't have been that annoyed. Part luck, part mentality.

Hope we can turn it around. We need a victory against Oxford tho and some new signings. No question

He's 100% got my support.

Doesn't mean I won't criticise him, but within that context of full support.

Given the changes he's had to make, & (perhaps more importantly) the people he's had to keep happy, it's maybe unsurprising in hindsight we've started off so badly, given the turgid base we were starting from.

What's positive about him so far though (far more important than his BladeyBladeness) is his proactivity. He's actively trying to make things happen, clearly (even if some vital things are taking longer than would be desirable). He needs to keep pushing through & changing the morbid culture here - & getting the vital remaining parts of that spine in place, now that he's got Moore & Clarke in as the first two of the four parts.

We can't keep getting rid of managers and starting again and ending up worse off than before.

I'm calling time on this Groundhog Day nonsense.

Wilder must stay for at least two seasons no matter what.

I don't think many are slagging Wilder off
It's just every single aspect of this retarded football club that people are having a go at

Anyway, the only way is up now, literally.

Well said that man.
