Wilders comments today

Here's the problem for using Barnsley as a reference. It was a freak season. Here's a look at the table from the week before Christmas last season. Yes, Barnsley were down there, but the teams ultimately relegated were most certainly down there too. For every Barnsley, there are 3 teams that just slowly winter awaybtheirnaeason until they run out of games. There is no mistaking we are garbage and the maximum capability of this team is to survive in Leagie 1. Thoroughly depressing but it's the reality of where we find ourselves.

I wonder if the reason he didn't want to steam in. Was because he's already smashed enough tea cups on Tuesday. Even Alex ferguson knew he could give the hairdryer every time as it would lose its affect

Never did i think Oxford & Leicester B would be as huge as they are. I think as fans we have to into next 2 games fake some confidence because feeling sorry for ourselves & taking our frustration out on players wont help

I don't know why we are all so surprised, we've all agreed on here for some time that there's massive gaps in the squad that require much needed recruitment. He's brought several in but he's still missing many pieces of the jigsaw to bring quality and balance to the squad. Any manager would struggle with this side at the moment.

I may not like Warnock but something along the lines of this would do with some of our players:

Warnock the man who took and was allowed to take by the club and fans about 6-7 years to get us up, then fucked up embarrassingly old fool that we are well rid of.

Anyone can see Wilder has been set up as the fall guy of cost cutting is blind!

It's time for a change at the top that's the only thing that will have an impact.

You've got to laugh or you'd cry.

Next week in The Star will be articles saying

Wilder is working hard in training, going back to basics etc.

Players coming out with "it's not been good enough but the quality is there"

And then the nail in the coffin

"We're to good to be in a relegation scrap"

We have

A shit chairman
A shit manager
A shit squad

And shit fans like you daft lad.

Queueing up to buy a bottom of League One club...

No fucker's goin' to come in and rescue United.
This my friends, is what we have and what we have to live with.

Fuckin' bad enough havin' to bow to the Saudi and all that they stand for, now we're indebted to him for what he'll donate.

We've made our bed.

Wonder if he did that after Bolton away, or the Villa game, or the Wigan game, or any of the other games when he went all defensive and his negative tactics fucked us up?

He had his day, not every game was a win and it wasn't all scintillating stuff. Some of you would do well to remember that.

Fully agree with this I still remember some of the woeful performances we had under warnock and not just in the premier. Don't forget he had more money than any other manager at United I think we just look on him now as some sort of messiah. I will concede though we may need a warnock type manager if we keep going down this road.

I think it is far too early to hit the panic button however it is very worrying and the good vibes have evaporated. Wilder has a tough job on his hands.

you know it's funny watching people get their knickers in a twist about Ched yet seem totally oblivious to the fact that we are directly connected to a regime that funds Wahhabism throughout the world with disastrous consequences

I said giving a grilling to our players like that, I am not saying he should return though.

Wilder is ultimately responsible for today and the start to the season.

The fact he's shirking all responsibility and not speaking to, or allegedly travelling back with the team, speaks volumes about his ability to manage this club.

Sorry but are Wilders comments some sort of sick joke? I'm seriously gobsmacked!

This time last year we were about 3rd in the table having won against Peterborough, Chesterfield, Blackpool and we thought yeah we're on for a decent season and look at how that turned out. Meanwhile at Dingletown Barnsley started off appallingly and look where they're at now and they had a team full of new young arrivals. We can't just keep sacking managers and asking another manager to inherit players on three year contracts and then hope they work miracles. Those of us old enough to remember 1990 will also remember 17 games without a win and then it just clicked and we finished 13th in the top division. We need to be patient and let Wilder bring in who he wants and let the team gel. We've seen an improvement from Southend and as bad as that was we've gone to Millwall away and were 5 minutes away from a decent point except for O'Connell giving a handball away. Come on guys its not time for getting on the players backs and we can all vent on here but its time to get down the Lane and support Wilder and the team, whether you rate Wilder or not.

Just heard the interview on radio Sheffield. He sounds like a broken man already.

Feel for him cause he is clearly in shock at just how bad it's going.

I think his tactics have been poor and we aren't getting the best out of the players available but the fact remains we've a back 4 that simply can't defend. I don't know how you legislate for that as a manager
Think you meant HE ISN'T getting the best out of the players rather than we aren't.

Could anyone who went confirm that we dominated the first half today? It sounded like we were the slightly better of two poor teams from the commentary.

We are a patient lot as you very well know . it's Wilder who does the ranting , which just rubs off on all .

The players are shell shocked , like us , Wilder , club.

Piss poor players brought in to replace piss poor players , that's the root cause .

If any of that back 4 were the recommendation of the new scout bloke , he wants sacking .

Long way to go before first 3 points .
