Sorry Roy you're slipping. Looks like you've thrown a United quote in there by mistake;

“Another bad move by this f**k up of a club.”

;)
Other than Leicester, Man City and a couple of clubs punching above their weight in the PL, that could be any club. Championship and L1 are full of fuck ups.

I suppose there aren't many reserve goalies out there about whom there aren't question marks. Sounds to me we've got a player with the potential to be very good, but there may be some rocky moments early on. A full season in the first team could make him or.....

Suspect there would be similar comments on a thread if we sold George. Maybe Brentford fans would tell a different story must have had talent to earn a prem move

Hopefully, given a run of games and a chance to show what he can do he'll have the confidence to stake his claim and progress here. Seems like a decent signing but maybe not the rock solid experienced keeper we all want to see.

Only time will tell.

My brother is a Brentford fan and says he was highly rated and the bees fans were disappointed that he was sold to Cardiff. But that was 3 seasons ago...

He's still quite young. Sounds like he has big potential but his career has stalled at Cardiff.
These things are always gamble. We'll have to see if we've made a great signing.

Also sounds like a better version of George Long.

Cheers Roy.
A mixed bag of opinions there, lets hope a run in our team gives him the confidence to show why some of the comments are positive.
also lets hope he's brought his cahunas with him cos it could get bumpy :D

He did OK at Bristol apparently.

He might not be suited to the Championship but should do well enough for us. Cardiff fans seem to think he never really had a good run of games in their squad. I think Moore knew as long as Marshall was fit he was never going to get in their team much.

So is he first choice or back up? If first choice when does George go? If back up - WHY?

"Interesting" times.

I guess we will be signing a CH CB and MF later this afternoon !!

UTB

Most of those comments based on them getting £500k. If they knew he'd gone for £250k they might not be so happy.
Anyone know how much they paid for him.?

He had no chance for any sort of run in the side at Cardiff. Marshall and the pig goalie are head & shoulders above any other goalie in the division.

Sounds like he'll need a proper run of games though, & that there'll be a hiccup or two along the way. Just hope he's self-confident.

I bet comments would be similar to that for 95% of the back up goalies in the entire football league.
It's certainly the hardest position on the field to just come in and fill for the odd game here and there, even more so when your behind a top class keeper like Marshall.
I like what I'm hearing about him being very vocal and commanding so let's give him the run of game that he needs to knuckle down and fulfill the tremendous potential he showed at Brentford.

It would be interesting to hear Millwall and Bristol City's fans think of him as they will have seen much more of his performances than Cardiff's.

Whatever his past form PLEASE do not ruin his confidence by getting on his back if it takes a little settling in period to obtain a proper understanding with his new defensive team mates. Yuri Geller might have a real job of guessing what they are going to do next

Sounds very similar to George. But I suppose having 2 competing who are both deemed to have potential could bring the best out in them.

He looks a bit unit...hopefully he won't be as intimidated..

Let's give him a chance huh ? Obviously not being first Choice for a few seasons is bound to knock the confidence a bit. I'm sure this lad will end up being a good signing so let's get behind him because the alternative doesn't even need thinking about !!!

An inch shorter than George though.

A big part of goalkeeping is the mental side. George's confidence is shot. Hopefully this lad will get on a run of form like Howard did in 2014 after replacing Long.
