Needs knocking down and a new one building!! Failing that, lots of black glass!!!

That'll work.

I'll have that. Fuck spendin' what little we have on the players, let's 'ave a big new fuck-off Stand, best in the land, best in the 4th.

Love Ya BigBed, when do we start knockin' it down?

I thought after we lose the next home game pal!!!
We've tried spending the money on players.........that doesn't fuckin work, so why shouldn't we be comfy everything we watch the ball hit the back of our net!?!?
McCabe is in the building things for no reason business, why not chuck one up!

The old pavilion should have been a listed building, it would have been a great iconic spot for the museum, supporters club, bar, function room, club shop, etc. In fact as some have said knock down the South Stand - we've done absolutely nothing since it was opened, that the curse of Yorkshire CCC I tell thee - then rebuild the pavilion, relay the cricket pitch and get Yorkshire and England back to the Lane, with the advent of franchise T20 it would be ideal for a new Sheffield cricket team ... we could even call them, erm, 'Sheffield United'.

If we'd have kept it in the first place the Lane would have ended up with ODI's, probably test matches (5 days x 40-50k capacity per day, no cricket ground in the country would come close, the ECB would have been falling over themselves to put tests on there) and Yorkshire HQ for the same reasons.

Beautiful downtown Bramall Lane! No ground do you get that feeling like you do the Lane. Of course every fan will say that about their home ground, but the Lane is special. I long for a redeveloped Kop though. Time the Kop was regenerated and brought into the 21st century.

The pavilion was a fine looking building my friend,it's a shame it had to go..it's also the 50th anniversary of the bramall lane stand this year

It's awful ain't it . My mum as terrible asthma & a fungal infection in her lungs and those steps from John st/shoreham st turnstiles are a struggle

I used to think that brutalist architecture was ugly as fuck but it's grown on me over the years. That idea of the future from the 60's and 70's which ironically looks more like a reminder of the past than anything else. In years to come it'll look like a design classic, much like Park Hill in that respect which is why it was understandably grade 2 listed.

I couldn't think of anything worse than sticking cladding all over the ground and making it look like every other stadium in the country.
