Lets all shut the fuck up until Tuesday. The measure of a manager is how he bounces back. Any other pronouncement is pure reaction. We cannot allow ourselves to be despondent at this early stage.

As ever and always, Up The Blades

If we play like today we won't win.

If we play better we may win.

It really is that fucking simple

Uninteresting fact. After 2 matches last year Wigan were in 23rd position and Bradford 24th with one point each (Wigan lost first game 2-0 and then drew second 0-0). Wigan won their third game 3-0. Bradford lost their 3rd. Sheffield United were 8th after 3 matches having won 2 and lost 1.
Just goes to show.

Bounces back against Bolton? Or Crewe?

But actually, I agree with you, early days, am sure there are signs of a bright future in there somewhere :)

and Barnsley were bottom in November and win a cup competition and the playoffs. That's not really how we roll though is it?

yes its possible. The opposition may be worse
well maybe , Rochdale weren't very good that's for sure so there must be half a dozen worse teams in L1 easy. 36 points nailed on! Edit: sorry 37, my bad.

Accept the pretence TD but it's only at the early stage of this season, the decline as discussed in another thread is not in an early but in a very advanced stage.

When I and the rest of the jelly family witness what goes down as one of the shittiest performances ever at BDTBL I get home and knock the shit out of the keyboard venting my anger.
On the way back to the car the discussion was about deffo not renewing again if this keeps up and if we are about to have another Weir, N#1 or N#2 season I'm starting to believe it :(

How'd the sesh going, Ty? :D

I'm serious. I saw what many others saw, it's not good enough obviously. But this is the dust settling. A victory on Tuesday will shift peoples perspectives considerably. Please don't lose faith, it's all we have (yes I'm pissed but the sentiment remains)

Pissed posting? It's great. I'm usually a clapper but the vino I'm glugging has me despondent.

Or is it the bobbar I watched this afternoon?

I'm going to play that one by ear. I've allowed myself to get very optimistic at the early stages the last few season and that didn't do me much good. I'm usually optimistic, slightly to the clapper side of centre, but today for me, my first game of the season was an unpleasant shock.

Still got faith in Wilder, and I think it would be stupid not to have, but he said it himself about it being vital to have a good start, so he needs to turn it around quite quickly now to keep credibilty.

Come out with me HB, I'll get you on the Jamesons (or the Bushmills in your case ;)).

Hallefuckinlujah!
In a sea of panic a lone voice of wisdom is heard in the distance..........

I can think of four worse last season without even going back over the years. The worrying thing for me is not actually how poor it was butvthat has the same lack of urgency and spark that the last two seasons did. Wilders already beginning to look like Mester Atkins and watching Knill rise from the dug out makes me think of Bela Lugosi.
