On Blades Mad in yesteryear, I've done worse. I told former Blade and Bradford's current right back that if he carried on in such dismal form that I was going to release my excrement on his dearly betrothed's chest. I'm hopeful that my more eloquently worded version and lack of ale here won't result in a temp ban as last time did.

I'd forgotten that one, went in there once or twice. There was another one bit further along as well, just down a bit of a dip away from the road, had some tables outside and usually seemed empty. Think it's main trade was the magnet factory workers?

The Rising Sun is sadly no more, replaced by an office I think. Sign o' the times unfortunately.

The chippy is a Chinese but it also does some of the finest chip butties in all Christandom.

first Chinese I remember opening was near my school. Used to go in at dinner time, he did great chips and also other stuff to cater for the low budget school trade - chips and stir-fried onions was my favourite but he also did chips and mushrooms. Don't think I ever saw anyone get a proper meal there.

My mum lived in Shiregreen from 1932 until she got married in 1961. Hartley Brook Road. My uncle still lives there
